Cutting 20mcg tablet into 4

Hello

I have asked this question before but will ask it in another way.

I’m cutting my Thybon T3 20mcg into 4 pieces using a recommended pill cutter.

It splits in 2 very easily as there’s a scored line on the pill.

However when I then try to halve the half it doesn’t always cut right and often I have some crumbs too.

Is it something I am doing wrong as I don’t want any variation in dosing given it’s not always a correct quarter and also I may lose some crumb.

Any crumbs ...use damp finger to pick up. Definitely don’t waste these

Not always clear which quarter the crumbs come from and also cannot get even quarters.

Only a minute fraction of each tablet is active ingredient

As long as it’s approximately right it’s good enough

I would love to know which one you use too please...? I currently use a scalpel (on SlowDragon's recommendation) which is better than the pill cutter I have but I often struggle to get the quarters accurately-sized.

After much trialing of pill cutters, I found splitting them between my thumbs works best! And quicker 😊

Yep! I split in two, then each half in two as I need them. Easy peasy!

I’m surprised you don’t get any crumbs which results in insufficient drug and also manage to get all 4 quarters equal.

It’s such a struggle with the pill cutter and just annoying the pharma companies don’t produce more sizes of tablets!
