I’m very much at the start of this painful journey been suffering pain in my lower back now for 11 years and have never got anywhere with doctors . That was until a locum. Doctor saw me who said that this was endo . He place me on the contraceptive pill and I did improve but the pain was still there just in a lesser form he said he would refer me to a gynaecologist but due to COVID I am still waiting just wondering if anyone can help me with information etc as I’m really struggling this week mentally and physically having to take days off work etc
Thank you 😊

It is very unlikely to be endo of the spine - that would be very rare. Lower back pain often progressing to referred pain down the leg (most commonly the left) is one of the most common symptoms of endo affecting the uterosacral ligaments, the most common endo location.
Hello. I’m currently in process of having my spine dealt with, I have stage 4 endo and have been getting a severely tightened painful back for years, more recently a permanently numb thigh and intermittent numbness in both legs and intense burning plus lightening bolt pains in legs.
I’ve had mri’s and been told I have Spondylosis and spinal canal narrowing and endo growinf on nerves.
Although endometriosis isn’t on the spine, due to the severity of my disease and previous extensive surgeries I have dense adhesions pulling and curving base of spine which is causing it to narrow. Very unpleasant.
I wish you the best of luck with your treatment xxxx
Hey Mumto309, I have endo in my large intestine which has been giving me severe lower back pain for the last few years, although I only just got it diagnosed when I started getting bowel problems as well as the period pain etc. Fingers crossed you get your diagnosis soon.
