Thank you for all your support. My partner, Andrew, is still critically ill. After being told that his chances of survival are slim it’s been soul destroying. Chemo induced kidney problems
Hi, I have had 4 rounds of pemetrexed and Carboplatin together with Keytruda immuno therapy. I was doing really well - and feel really well, but recent blood tests have shown that my kidneys are not clearing creatinine as they should following this being normal prior to treatment. Deteriorated even further
My partner is in ICU and has been since last Wednesday when he couldn’t breath. They put him in an induced coma to treat a chest infection. He had an X-ray yesterday which showed his chest is clear but his liver is so severely damaged and it’s attacking his kidneys so he now is on dialysis. The doctors

Anxiety, Dizziness, Etc. (I'm New Here)
The last few weeks I have really been stressed out with being a caregiver for my parents. And, I have been experiencing a lot more anxiety, I have had some dizziness and light-headedness issues. I don't like feeling that way; as I am sure that no one would. I had back surgery in January of this year

Worried about prednisolone and azathioprine
Well had a face to face with rheumatology yesterday after feeling dreadful for most of this year. Had bloods , urine and stool specimens put away prior to appointment and more taken whilst there. She has started me on prednisolone until end of year, then planning to add in azathioprine. Said my lupus

Is there anyone out there who wishes they didn’t get the transplant and would have just stuck to dialysis?
I’m 25 years old and I’ve had kidney failure for a year and a half now. I’m going to my transplant center to start testing in about 2 weeks and they sent me some videos to watch before coming. After watching these videos I’m questioning if transplant is even worth it? seems like so many complications

Anyone Working on Dialysis?
I'm 57 and have stage 4 CKD. They have found no "official" cause. I have T2 diabetes, but it is considered in control (or it was until they stopped my metformin) and I have no other diabetes related conditions. I have lived without a colon for 27 years and am often dehydrated. On July 4, 2020 I got a
