Hi, I’ve joined here because I’ve just been diagnosed with fibromyalgia I’m desperate to know I’m not alone in this.
I’ve been pushed from pillar to post with it, I’ve been told I have got ulcerative
colitis
. Only to have exploratory surgery that said the opposite. I was then diagnosed with IBS which I couldn’t quite believe was the only reason I felt like this.

NEW DIAGNOSIS - NEED ADVICE PLEASE
GP gave me amitryptiline which made me into a zombie so I stopped after 2nd day and because I also have ulcerative
colitis
(another autoimmune condition!!!) cannot take anti-inflamatories so waiting for my GP to do a script for Celecoxib as advised by the gastro team.

Anyone else had diagnosis of coeliac disease via microscopic colitis and pancreatic insufficiency?
She thinks the IBD/
colitis
(diagnosed via bloods and colonoscopy) will burn itself out within 2 years but I've had the symptoms for years. I haven't eaten gluten knowingly for over a decade because I worked out it made me feel worse. Anyone else with the same diagnosis? Thanks.xx

Autoimmune Thyroid Conditions
I also have an autoimmune condition, my parents are both hypothyroid and my twin brother is also under an endocrinologist (and also has ulcerative
colitis
)..... I am aware that there is an autoimmune thyroid condition and wish to understand how this is tested before I return to my GP.

Scleraderma / HHT
Good evening all. Has anybody been diagnosed with systemic sclerosis, scleraderma and HHT, hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia? The reason I'm asking is its possible that I have both these diseases, I'm currently awaiting for an appointment for a brain scan for Avm.s.

Raised Ca125.......
I have a history of chronic IBS, my sister has ulcerative
colitis
, and my mum also had diverticulitis with a burst when she was in her early 50’s. I feel very relieved tonight. I have a ct scan within the next month and a follow up in 6 weeks with more bloods to see what’s going on.

ANEMIA
I was diagnosed with crohns -
colitis
after my first acute episode almost 2 years ago. Remicade was discontinued after a year and a half and am now trying Stelera. The bowel symptoms are manageable however I am left with a cycle of debilitating anemia requiring iron infusions (venofer).

Finally - 10k done!
I was forced to take a 2-months break from running 'cos of a health problem (another flare-up of the dreaded ulcerative
colitis
– yuk) but, determined not to let it beat me, I got back on Ju-Ju-'s plan again in mid-May.

Awaiting diagnosis and scared
Hi, I’m new here but just looking to put my mind at ease. Over the last couple of months I’ve had full blood tests and a sample for calprotectin, initially to confirm whether or not I had IBS. I had been taking probiotics which helped for a while and also buscopan but my symptoms started to worsen. Two

Lymphocytic Colitis?
Hello, Has anyone else out there been diagnosed with/suffer from lymphocytic
colitis
? Too many white blood cells in the lining of the colon, apparently . I just wondered if this is a thyroid related or just another 'thing'! Any and all replies gratefully received. Many thanks.

Hey I have had
colitis
for around 8 years but only got a firm diagnosis last June. I take asacol twice a day but since last June I have had 3 courses of steroids (8 weeks each time). I have just finished my most recent course and already my symptoms have returned.

Any advice please?
I was told after this that I had ulcerative
colitis
. My symptoms had been passing blood and mucus for around 5 weeks which eventually stopped about 2-3 weeks before the scope was eventually done. I was started on asacol and referred to gastro with appointment 3 months later.
