HCL & Pepsin / Digestive Enzymes reaction
I have Hashi's,
Colitis
, Endometriosis & Painful Bladder Syndrome and have had digestive problems since my 20's. I did the bicarbonate of soda home test for low stomach acid and didn't burp at all so figured I have low stomach acid. I also did a SIBO test last year which was positive.

Alternatives To Sourdough Bread For IBS - Homemade
I'm a 52 year old male in The UK with Ulcerative
Colitis
and IBS. I think my worst symptoms are from the IBS as my UC isn't too bad and relatively under control. Worst symptoms are bloating and constant bowel noise (borbyrigmi). My IBS seems to respond reasonably well to Low Fodmap diet.

Newly diagnosed
I have ulcerative
colitis
and at my annual checkup last month they ordered full blood work. I got a call from team as the bloods showed underactive thyroid and instructed me to go to GP. I had an awful experience with GP when I asked what my levels were.

Sleepy after some asthma drugs.
They're all steroid based, and although I tried four, I started getting the same symptoms I'd had after getting Ulcerative
Colitis
& sepsis in 2015 with high dose antibiotics and steroids IV.

Eculizumab: Expert opinion is needed - What is a correct way to get off Soliris?
Dear experts, my son has DDD and have been treated with Soliris since January. He feels much better, his sC5b-9 value has gone down from 560 to 319 within 2.5 months, although the C3 value has dropped from 27 mg/dl to 18, but proteinuria and haematuria are almost away. So, obviously, Soliris is good

New here.. High faecal Calprotectin?
There is both
colitis
and crohns in my family. I have read about colon cancer too and that’s just made me even more petrified. Could this be a possibility? I think I’m going to be a nervous wreck before the procedure. She told me it will be done in the next two weeks.

Not sure what to do
I’m taking very strong antibiotics because mild
colitis
showed up in my small intestine. The hospital diagnosed me with infectious
colitis
. I’m concerned that comiing off the azathioprine for 6 weeks will cause an autoimmune hepatitis flare.

Liver function test up after switching to injection. Coincidence? How worried should I be?
I’ve got ulcerative
colitis
so worried about primary sclerosing cholanvitis or whatever’s the hell its called. Also could I have fatty liver from wing on prednisone? As you can see my pessimistic imagination is having a field day with this one! No word from the rheum nurses yet.

Back on the trial!
My dad is back on his clinical trial after having been treated for cdiff and allowing a couple of weeks for his
colitis
flare to temper. His psa is down again to .06 which I believe is the lowest it’s gotten.

Control and Treatment of SIBO and IBS
E407, or “Carrageenan” – is a food additive derived from a red seaweed, which is only present in small quantities as a thickener, but even at low levels it has been shown to be “highly inflammatory to the digestive tract” and associated with IBS,
colitis
and other GI diseases.
