Operation date: 8/10/18 😱
So I am looking to get some general advice and support from those who are or may have been in a similar boat to me as my op date is looming ever closer now and I am tormenting myself with all the what if’s and maybes. Long story short, I’m 29 and would guess I’ve had endometriosis for most of my adult

Monitoring post lobectomy
I had a lobectomy in April 2017. Please can someone advise how often I should be monitored by way of CT scan? I last had a scan 6 months ago and am now under the care of The Brompton after a difficult journey of mis diagnosis at a previous hospital. They have decided to change my scan due in October

Endo & ovarian cyst
Hi, I see my consultant today who says I have a chocolate cyst on my ovary, which is stuck to my bowel. She said to try microgynon for 3 months, she said I could have an op but there is no guarantee she wouldn't puncture my bowel and end up with a colostomy bag. I have had cyst for 3 years now, had

In need of some encouragement and insight. (waking up from coma, dealing with the trach, etc...)
Hi, My beloved mom (69 years old) has had a cardiac arrest about two weeks ago. Luckily (in a way...) she was already in hospital at the time (she's gone through a lobectomy of her upper right lung lobe, after being diagnosed with lung cancer. A relatively small tumor with likely no metastasis. Still

Breast cancer radiation as a long term cause of primary lung cancer?
I'm new here, aged 60 and a never smoker (excepting for one instance of smoking a hookah/shisha as a 60th birthday lark in a Moroccan nightclub 8 months ago which the clinicians insist is not relevant - although I am not so sure given the timing). As a lifelong non-smoker I always assumed lung cancer

Module found 90 days after lobectomy
9x11 mm module found after 6 months of chemo and a middle and upper lobe removal in Dec 2017, also 30 shots of radiation. Normal 90 day ct scan and a module shows in the plural effusion! Does this mean cancer returned in the form of a 1 cm node?? Or is it scar tissue from the resection along with

Unexpected diagnosis
We just received my husband's diagnosis after his lobectomy two days ago: stage 4 melanoma. We were expecting a stage 2 lung. Isn't that crazy? Hoping for a different type of cancer? The latter seemed treatable. Melanoma sounds so much worse. This will take awhile to sink in. I need advice on how to
