Elevated creatinine from tacrolimus?
I am 19 months out from my kidney transplant from a deceased donor. Was doing well and my creatinine was actually within the normal range at about a year post transplant. However, since then my creatinine has been creeping up and now is 1.74. Have tried lowering my protein intake, and more hydration

The current status and challenges of CAR-T therapy in CLL
A few members of this group are scheduled for CAR-T and others might find themselves in the same situation in the future so I thought this would be of interest. Flu season here!
Hello folks, I'm interested to know if long term ME sufferers end up with a totally weird immunity. I'm in my early 70's, developed ME following viral pneumonia in my 30's, then over a decade later discovered I also had Hashimoto's thyroiditis (am on thyroxine).I've managed to dodge Covid even though

Rubella Jab before IVF?
Wondering if anyone has experienced this or similar? I've had all my MMR vaccines during my childhood through the childhood immunisation programme (I'm in the UK). But I have been told that my virology tests show I need a Rubella jab as I don't have immunity (despite having all my jabs). I've booked

How quickly did you get a positive test post embryo transfer with HCG injection on day of transfer?
Hi I know I should be testing but I can't help it. I'm 4dpt of a 4AA embryo. I have low ovarian reserve so I'm lucky to have even got this far. As you can imagine my anxiety is quite high. I'm having real period like pains (it would normally be due tomorrow) and fatigue. Day of transfer I had another

Confirmed BFN after hcg
The clinic have confirmed a negative hcg blood test today. I am devastated. I sort of knew it was coming but there was always a glimmer of hope until now. This was our first round of IVF with DE. We had 5/9 eggs that defrosted, 2fertilised with DH sperm and 1 survived and was transferred. I didn’t

UK NICE Approves Ibrutinib +Venetoclax for First Line treatment for ALL Patients from today
Probably one of the best news stories that we have been able to announce in many years for patients in England and Wales. We are absolutely delighted that this effective treatment is now available for ALL CLL patients as their first treatment if their doctor feels it is appropriate. This treatment

Relapsed CLL: New Approaches Prolong Survival
Dr Furman says that genetically unstable CLL patients need a combination therapy approach to treatment irrespective of MRD assessment results. This is only a short read and Dr Furman's opinion is always worth taking note of. In case it’s behind a paywall, here is the article in full. Credit to

Expression of TCL1A gene is found to drive onset of blood cancer
One of the causes of blood cancer is non-inherited mutations in blood stem cells that can lead to the cancerous growth of abnormal cells. Reporting in Nature, scientists now suggest that targeting a gene called TCL1A may be able to suppress such growth and decrease the risk of blood cancer....

Shingles vaccine
My wife was refused the shingles vaccine by her GP as she wasn't old enough (not over 70) we asked for it a year after she had shingles which she really suffered from and still has a bit of discomfort from. Has any MPN patients been refused because of their age?

HCG??
Hey all, I just wanted to see what others experiences are with HCG results, my first result at around 15 dpo was 311 and then 20dpo it was 2175. Whilst my clinic was really happy with this and I was at the time, ive now gone into the spiral online of seeing others at 5 weeks have HCG of 12,000+!

hcg level rising but scan at 5 weeks shows nothing but thin endometrium lining which is scary
Hi! My hcg levels went from 19 to 64 to 103 to 153, I'm 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant but doctors concerned it might be ectopic, I had a very early scan today that showed nothing, it doesn't show any pregnancy anywhere, I'm really scared because my endometrium lining is apparently quite thin now, I had
