Shingles vaccine! Which one??
Hi, my wife has MF and a year ago suffered from Shingles, which still causes a little itching around the back of the head where the blisters were. She has been offered a vaccination against shingles, by her GP. There are two available, one is a live vaccine the other isn't. As she doesn't have a spleen

cold face
I have systemic sclerosis, Raynaud’s, and fibromyalgia (plus other stuff). I also have stiffness and aching on the right side of my face neck and shoulder which I think is myofascial pain syndrome. Update: it’s all over
Update: third hcg levels on 190, so not doubling in 72 hours. Devastated. That’s the end for us. No more attempts Tomorrow I have my second BT to see if the very low initial hcg has doubled. If not, that’s it for us - this was our last attempt before we move away from it all. I was so hoping

Hepatitis C information update - Can you help?
We are updating the information about hepatitis C on the British Liver Trust website. We would really like more people with experience of hepatitis C to take a look at the new information, and give us your thoughts. This shouldn't take long (about half an hour of your time) and you don’t need any medical

Shingles vaccine is now recommended in Australia for people aged ≥18 years who are immunocompromised
The Australian Government recently updated its advice about vaccination against shingles. The bad news is that the only vaccine funded through the National Immunisation Program is still Zostavax. [i]"Zostavax® is funded under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) at 70 years of age. Shingrix®

Effect of thyroid dysfunction on N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide levels: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Papers regarding the impact of inappropriate thyroid hormone levels keep coming out. It would be a miracle if endocrinologists showed any evidence of having read them. And incorporated the lessons into their practices. [i]

First COVID Antibody Test
I just got the results back from my first COVID antibody test. It said that my antibody level is 150. Is this a decent level? It is difficult to find much information on this. I am trying to see if I can feel a little secure if we have family over for Christmas. I will probably wear a mask and

mental health in first trimester
I’m wondering what anyone else has done to deal with first trimester stress. And in particular if anyone has any experience with contacting GP etc for support and whether it’s actually helped/ any other things tried? I’m 6w. I’m convinced that it’s a blighted ovum or otherwise already lost/ going
