Wife getting MMR vaccine booster - isolate or not?
I'm an SLL patient, 55 years old, now about 2.5 years into remission after 6 FCR treatments. I just recovered from a recent (and thankfully mild) bout of shingles. Live vaccine for dengue fever
My son lives in Bali. He is in the middle of a very severe bout of dengue fever. I am going to visit him for 3 weeks in July. He has suggested I should have a vaccine before I go. I can find that it is called a " live attenuated dengue tetravalent vaccine". Even the vaccine side effects can be pretty

Does asthma severity tend to reflect that of sinuses?
I wasn’t sure where to post this but please tell me if it’s out of place as I’l move it. Basically I’ve had chronic sinusitis with polyps for over a decade. It is more chronic inflammation that’s the issue, with meds the polyps are only small/secondary to the inflammation. I don’t have asthma but

Bleeding on 7dp5dt
Hi All, So I had a positive pregnancy test from 5dp5dt. My lines were getting darker and when checked this morning, it remained strong. I went to my clinic this morning for a HCG blood test and before I left, noted that there was a medium amount of pink / red blood. I spoke with the clinic nurse who

To Trial or not to Trial?
I have decided not to trial. Going to just do the Venetaclax & Obin protocol. I’m just not in the mood for the extra appointments and brain damage that invariably comes with them. I’m waiting for a start date. Had the bone marrow biopsy and endless other tests this week - decided not to peek at the

Success stories after line got fainter on OTD?
I tested on 9dp5dt on a medicated FET on having very light spotting and cramping, the line was lighter than the control line but "positive". Today is my OTD and this morning the pink dye got fainter and was slower to appear. Although it turned darker around 10 minutes-ish, the test says results obtained

Immune system changes during BTKi treatment
Hi, as a relative newbie here, please forgive me if this is a really naive question. I am soon to begin treatment with a BTKi drug. I know that having (a mutated form) of CLL means that my immune system is significantly suppressed and that BTKi treatment will further inhibit the immune system. My haematologist

A story of hope for those suffering recurrent implantation failure
I wanted to share my story in case it gives a ray of hope to those suffering from recurrent implantation failure. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant so still early days but it's a huge step forward for us. This is the result of the 11th embryo transferred (over 9 transfers as did a couple of double transfers

Can cramps and spotting ever be a good sign after BFP?
Hi, I had my long awaited BFP on OTD 12dp5dt which was Tuesday. I’ve been having brown spotting and slight cramps since 6dp5dt but the spotting seems to be getting heavier rather than lighter, I’ll be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow and it’s showing no signs of stopping. The clinic told me not to worry unless

pneumonia vaccination
I have been told to get my pneumonia jab , i’m not worried about sore arm, but i’m just a bit concerned i might feel poorly after. I didn’t feel poorly after my flu jab or covid booster. Any reassurance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Pain Concern
Hello Again. Has anyone had an epidural steroid injection for shingles pain? I am scheduled for one and I'm scared. I have had trigger point injections in the past, but those go into muscle where this would go to the nerves that shingles infect. This doctor is very good at what she does so I have no

Affordable hCG tests for medicated FET overseas
Hi everyone, How do you go about getting hCG tests done, if you aren't with a UK clinic? My GP told me that NHS doesn't offer blood tests. I prefer getting my blood taken from veins to finger prick type collection. Any tips and experiences will be appreciated.
