Rituximab or Covid Vaccine?
After various calls with rheumatologist and GP I now know I’m in group 6 for vaccine. I am due an appointment on 9 March with rheumatologist to arrange dates for my next round of rituximab. After speaking last week about the vaccine I learned that I can’t have the treatment until a month after 2nd vaccine

Reaction after Covid vaccine?
Hi, I had my first dose Covid vaccine a couple of weeks ago. I did have a reaction of migraine, fever, and joint aches and felt really ill for a couple of days. Since then I have really felt out of sorts, pain in joints and a fatigue get very exhausted when doing anything. I just wondered if anyone else

Rituximab after Pfizer
Hi Everybody, hope you are all well! There has been a lot of good advice regarding the safety and time limit guidelines for having the Pfizer vaccine after Rituximab, as I mentioned earlier I had m6 last infusion on 20th November last year and my first Pfizer jab last week. What I haven’t heard much

Is baricitinib fast acting?
I started baricitinib 4mg daily one week ago. All the visible swelling in my hands has gone and I can make fist for the first time in 2 years. Does it work that quickly? Could this finally be the right med for me? I had anaphylaxis with anti-TNFs and Rituximab only helped my feet. I had started to think

Which kind vaccine would be preferable in an ideal world for people on Rituximab?
Hi, I hope everyone is well in these freezing temperature ! Could anyone explain to me which kind of vaccine works best for somebody with vasculitis on Rituximab. The RNA or the Astra Zeneca viral vector? I know you can't choose, but there must be one preferable over the other because of the affected

Ageing pet’s effect on my health
Our son has come home for a visit and is appalled at the smell of our old dog. She is incontinent and wears nappies or lies on sheets I change several times a day. She insists on sleeping in our room at night, or barks all night long. I love her dearly, but I have noticed I cough a lot when I get up

Which vaccine is better for CLL patients, Pfizer or Astra Zeneca ?
After 5 years of slow raising , at 134000 WBC I had FCR chemo, only two cycles, as I reacted with high fever to Rituximab and blood count droped down to 8000 immediately, so twice the second day of Cyclofosfamid was cancelled and unfortunately I did suffer from Clostridium Difficile after each treatment

I am grateful to have received my first jab of the COVID vaccine on 2 Feb. As I have had an allergic reaction to Rituximab and some other drug allergies my rheumatologist recommended I get the AstraZeneca/Oxford one. I felt fine straight after but the after 36 hours I developed first a racing heart (

Shielding letter
At the moment like all others with RA I am shielding, my question is, my letter covers me to 21st Feb, I have not had my Covid jab yet, not had any message to arrange it, but have read that even after Covid jab I still have to shield. I am on Rituximab. I am employed part time in an office at an independent

VACCINE ANTIBOBY TEST STUDY
During my monthly office visit in early March, my Dr. asked if would get another blood test off site to determine whether I had developed sufficient antibodies from my recent vaccinations. MSK is trying to collect data as to whether us CLL'ers can can get protection too. In my case YES! Moderna vaccine

Rituximab and Covid vaccine
Hi Has anyone had any advice on timings of Rituximab and the covid vaccine? I have been told that Rituximab cannot be given until a month after the second dose and if Rituximab has been given recently there has to be a six month wait til receiving the vaccine..... Trying to work out the logistics
