Reaction after Covid vaccine?

Hi, I had my first dose Covid vaccine a couple of weeks ago. I did have a reaction of migraine, fever, and joint aches and felt really ill for a couple of days. Since then I have really felt out of sorts, pain in joints and a fatigue get very exhausted when doing anything. I just wondered if anyone else had this type of reaction. I have GPA, diagnosed in 2016. I am on Rituximab infusions and I am still on 10mg steroids, my condition is stable but still have a very low level of grumbling disease not yet reached remission, just wanted to know others experiences. Also does anyone know about how and if we should get tested for antibodies for Covid-19? Many thanks 😊

I had no reaction to the vaccine , Pfizer , 5 weeks ago. It is thought that if you do have a reaction - fever, aches, headache for 2/3 days, your immune system is responding to the vaccine.

If symptoms persist you are advised to contact your GP and also complete a yellow card. coronavirus-yellowcard.mhra...

Yes, I have had very trying reaction to Pfizer. I don't get flu vaccine because it made me so ill some years back so I did expect to feel unwell. But it has been 18 days since vaccine and I still have dizzy spells, extreme fatigue, discoloured tongue, mouth ulcer with horrible nerve pain that goes near region including ear. For two days I have been using Colgate's Peroxyl which has been helpful. I am on partial remission from HUVS and on hydroxychloroquine which seems to control my main symptoms so no hives or swelling of joints. But hydroxy has its own side effects...

I have rung up my GP surgery with very little advise as vasculitis is not something they can handle. I am waiting to talk to my consultant...

It seems to me that my immune system is working hard which is good but perhaps this has provoked my vasculitis. I am giving myself another week.I realise everybody reacts differently. I have heard some very nasty reactions from both Pfizer and Moderna from very healthy friends in US but theirs lasted about a week or so.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I knew I would get some sort of reaction as I always do react to stuff and when I get a bug it knocks me for six, it’s just still feel so out of sorts for a couple of weeks now (more than usual). I’ve filled in the yellow form and am just taking it easy, but just wondered others experience - I had the Astra Zeneca vaccine.Hope you feel better soon 😊

I had the vaccin a year ago and still not back to normal. Have to paid a private doctor in hope she gonna find it faster than waiting many years in the public system. Can take any medication with polyethylene glycol since the vaccin. There's polyethylene glycol in everything. A nightmare. Difficulty to walk for many months and problem with the muscle of my face. Still lack of energy. I had a lot of energy before and now am happy just because i am able to go to school and cook a meal in one day.
