Rituximab after Pfizer

Hi Everybody, hope you are all well! There has been a lot of good advice regarding the safety and time limit guidelines for having the Pfizer vaccine after Rituximab, as I mentioned earlier I had m6 last infusion on 20th November last year and my first Pfizer jab last week. What I haven’t heard much about is the other way round, “how long after the jab can you have Rituximab? I am due my second jab on the 21st April and my next infusion May 6th and I am sure I have read somewhere that is too soon. I guess it’s a catch 22 really because delaying my Rituximab potentially could increase chances of relapse, especially as it’s my first try on Rituximab. Anybody out there any ideas. I will be talking to my consultant soon so will post any advice I get. Stay safe all.

I was told yesterday after my rituximab was cancelled due to crossed wires, that there has to be atleast 4 weeks between the jab and infusion. She said this was the guidance given to them. Too close together and the jab might not be as effective. Hope this helps 🙏I'm now having to wait 6 weeks which is not great as I'm having a very bad episode at the minute. I was however told I'd only wait 3 to 4 weeks for my 2nd jab because of the massive effect this is having on my body and treatment needed to start ASAP. Good luck with your journey 👍
