Rituximab and Covid vaccine

Hi

Has anyone had any advice on timings of Rituximab and the covid vaccine?

I have been told that Rituximab cannot be given until a month after the second dose and if Rituximab has been given recently there has to be a six month wait til receiving the vaccine.....

Trying to work out the logistics, so would like to hear what others have been told.

I just started with my first infusion last week. My doctor said he wants me getting the Covid vaccine as soon as it's available in our area.

There’s a great talk on the American Sjorgrens site covering this and many other vac issues by a rheumatologist goes for 47 min and is near the end

I don’t have a link I googled hydroxychloroquine /plaquenil / Sjorgrens and austrazeneca vaccine and various combinations took me to a talk on the American Sjorgrens site. She worked on an advisory board related to rheumatology and vacines. They posted different time lines from none at all to wait 2 weeks a month to a month. What she spoke abt was lowering the effectiveness of both. Makes sense doesn’t it ? the drugs are trying to lower our immune response The vaccine operations differently she says and won’t increase immune activity . Also if you’ve had Covid only get one dose not the second

It was late at night and when I was listening I thought record bk mark I fell back to sleep at the end - if I find I will resend.

I’ve had great success with Brooke Goldner 4 week hyper nutrition plan. Tough - green raw fruit and veg Lowered my inflammatory markers by 7 ( haven’t told the specialist what o did as it seems too simple and too amazing )
