During my monthly office visit in early March, my Dr. asked if would get another blood test off site to determine whether I had developed sufficient antibodies from my recent vaccinations. MSK is trying to collect data as to whether us CLL'ers can can get protection too. In my case YES! Moderna vaccine on 1/02/2021 and 1/26/2021. My study nurse gave me the news this morning, I don't know of the specific numbers, but she told me with a big smile. If I ever get any meaningful info, I will pass it along. My history so maybe you can relate; 12 year veteran, FCR, Ibrutanib, Venclaxta now on cycle #16 of LOXO-305. 11q deleted C-481 mutation, and currently in REMISSION.

VACCINE ANTIBOBY TEST STUDY
Great news, what a relief! Thank you for sharing that info with us. What day in March were you tested? Was it the quantitative spike protein antibody test?
Thanks Steve. I too had Moderna and wasn’t sure if I would receive any benefits from it. You give me hope. Keep us updated if you hear anything more about your test. Congratulations. 🎊🎉 Sally
Congratulations Steve. Great result considering your status as a CLL vet.Would be good if you can share more details of the test and the result. Is MSK going to publish study results?
So pleased for you! 👏🏻👏🏻
Lovely to have sorely needed good news, so pleased for you. Even better was the title maybe my sense of humour is a bit warped or maybe 🤔 you wanted to make folk smile as we all wonder why you were anti bob(b)y.
Stay well, best wishes

That's great Steve. Thanks for letting us know. I think we're all eager to know if these vaccines are going to give us sufficient protection.
Great, very happy for you. Long may your remission continue.
Thanks for letting us know and giving us hope.C
Awesome news!!!
I was hoping MDA would do that study too. We will be there tomorrow and will ask about their intentions.
I had the Covid 19 spike protein antibody blood test as part of an LLS study, after receiving both Moderna shots. I had positive detection of antibodies at the >250 u/ml level which is the highest level the test can detect. While there is more to our immune response, including T cells and memory B cells, its a good sign. Many others with CLL and participating in the study have had less favorable results, so YMMV.
