Is it Endo or Am i just being stupid
For months now I have suffered with excruciating pain during periods. Theres been quite a quick change over the past 6 months, I'm having 2 periods a month, 1 of them lasting for 9-10 days, then the other that month, I'm having contraction like waves of pain, extreme nausea... terrible diarrhea and

40+3 membrane sweep
Just been for a membrane sweep about 2hrs ago and omg!! It's so painful!! I thought it will be similar to a smear test but no way a smear test is a piece of cake compared to a sweep. Am just praying it should work can't wait to have my baby.fingers crossed !

MEET ME… I AM THE MODERN CAVEMAN…
I am the modern caveman. In a man-made high tech world, I am ashamed to live…… Wait a second…On second thoughts…… My body is the result of billion years of evolutionary perfection. It can put any modern man and his technology to shame. No single Genome project can unravel ME completely. A century

One year old with low platelet counts - ITP??
Hi everyone, At around his first birthday, we noticed several large bruises on my son's back and arms. We earlier discounted this as play-related since he is a very active baby who started walking at 10mths age. There were no other symptoms such as bleeding or fatigue. His pedia looked at the bruises

Pudendal Neuralgia?
For the last 6 months I've had a variety of pelvic pain - knife like vaginal pains, a feeling that something inside is ulcerated, a painful 'twanging' sensation, progressing to sharp pain in groin/pins and needles during BMs and a 'sensitive' perineum. The first doctor thought it might be diverticulosis

What to do with follow up appointment?
As I mentioned in my previous post I had my first lap last Friday. No endo was found at the time. Today I had a talk with my general doctor about the lack of results. According to the information he received from the gyn. indeed nothing was found and no explanation can be given for my pains. At least

Lap date and smear test
I have received my lap date. It will be on the 7th of June. Till so far my nerves are ok. More busy with everything that needs to be done before this date. But i expect to be really nerveus on the actual day. I really hope i will finally get some answers. My worst fear is that they won't find anything

Frozen Shoulder
I went to see the doctor today about my shoulder and the pain I am now in. I said I suppose you're going to tell me it's just the Fibro, she tested it and said that it's actually a frozen shoulder. Wow a doctor that doesn't just fob you off. She was filling in my DLA form when I walked in the room and

On top of everything else, waiting for gallstone treatment
Awaiting results from first appointment with rhuematologist on Monday then was sent by GP for an emergency scan to find I have gallstones along with letter to say I have to go for a smear test every 6 months now,( had treatment but had poor result last time again!) All in one week! Now in bed as I'm

I feel so guilty
And its all because of this awful illness and the devastating effect in can have on the brain, specifically the memory. My daughter told me a few weeks ago that she had had a smear test come back abnormal (she is only 25 and it was her first smear) and that the GP was sending her for further tests

My Endo Story
I think I must have had Endometriosis for a very long time because I always have had unexplained pains in my legs and ankles and abdomen which have been passed off as sciatica or normal "womens" pains or period pain or whatever else. I just had no idea what Endometriosis was and didn't find out about

Diagnosed with a tumour on my cervix
Hello, I have just been diagnosed with cervical cancer. My mum died of cervical cancer when I was 15, mum was 40, the same age I am now. I never ever thought I would truly be unlucky enough to have the same disease at the same age as mum. I always worried but if I'm honest, I didn't think life could

Another smear test !!!
I have been to my hospital appointment . The registrar was awful another one ... She was very abrupt and not listening to anything I said . I have just been transferred back and she forced me to have a smear test despite having one less than 6 months ago in another hospital . She didn't look at my scan

Squiggly snug as a bug in my tum...
UPDATE She likes my tumwell by the looks of things! Had an attempted sweep. Cervix not forward enough for my midwife to do her magic. Her head is engaged but still needs to come down. So how was the procedure? No great shakes really. Like a smear. Not uncomfortable at all. Breathed nice

12 months with an Endo diagnosis
I write a blog about running and often it spills into life stuff. Rather than repeat information I thought I would copy the relevant posts here to take you through my journey with endo so far. It's not short and I will probably rewrite it but I have found it incredibly useful to go back through this
