Worried
Hi everyone. I was wondering what people's first symptoms

Upcoming smear test
I have my first smear test in the next few weeks. I was wondering what it will be like. Will I be asked any questions before hand? What is the general experience of the procedure like. How does it compare to a internal exam or internal ultrasound. I am wanting to know as doctors appointments in general

BOWELS PACE!!
Good afternoon fellow runners I awoke this morning absolutely knackered. I wanted to go on my 8K run about as much as I wanted to smear yoghurt all over my buttocks and roll in some nettles! However I forced myself to get up and got myself ready. Shorts and top, socks with a hole in (they'd do for this

Blood Count...Eh? What does this mean?
Hi all Due to see the Haematologist on Monday for the first time since diagnosis a couple or three weeks ago and after looking through posts on this most informative site I have taken the advice and obtained my FBC from the GP. I think I understand that the right hand side is the ideal figures you need

Not sure what to think
I'm currently frightened to death, my doctors decided on Friday to try and do a Smear test, she said I had a short cervix, then made me bleed, even though I said I was bleeding on and off. Now today I've started my period properly. I did also say that I'm on and off my period but get a full period at

Nervous breakdown
First of all let me say that I have had a similar breakdown two other times in my life. Both of which were at really stressful times of my life. Here is where I'm at, and I hope you guys can provide some light on the situation. I just graduated college and have my degree, however at the beginning of

Menstrual cycle
Hello, I have had my period 4 times this month. On the last one, I was so weak and dizzy that I had to stay off work for 2 days, because bleeding is very heavy as well. I am not pregnant, not on the pill. Has always been normal every 4 weeks like a clock. Taking MMS and warfarin 9-10 mg on alternative

Advice please
Hi ladies, This is going to be quite a long one. Went to the colposcopy clinic yesterday (I had pre cancerous cells removed a few years ago) for hopefully what is my last yearly smear, and I spoke to her about my problems with endometriosis. She said there is no way I should have to wait that long to

How can we teach NHS workers with our experience?
I'm 4 weeks post-lap right now, and I haven't been here for a while due to the fact that I was just exhausted with the subject in general. My history (as brief as I can be, which isn't very...): I struggled with period pain from the start, heavy bleeding, then rupturing ovarian cysts, then 8 years ago

Hard to love
After several weeks of online searching, reading forums, and emailing various supporters for help i finally made the call today. It was so hard. To say it out loud is to make it real again, to prove i am crazy like ive been told since i was a child. Im to go to visit a mental health advocate in the morning

Is it all in my head?
Hi, A few years ago I was diagnosed with IBS-D, and have managed to keep it under control with my diet. With that came anxiety issues, and stress problems. Over a year ago I started to get what I can only describe as severe cramp in my back passage, and the pain got incrediblely worse during my period

Getting past this
I posted a few week ago, now I have had finally the acknowledgement I was not wasting time or a bed. (Was told this during my admittance). I was referred elsewhere, where more tears were done including smear, analysis etc. I went in for my laparoscopy last Monday. Went into theatre pained and scared

Getting Better...
So.....I was finally able to do this today. What I mean by that is I was finally able to go to Gram's grave and sit for a bit and not tear up. The cemetery was very quiet minus the lady who found it necessary to drive by as slow as she could and stare at me.. So many people have been coming out of the
