Praise for kind gp
I recently had an attempted cervical smear test that was so painful it was untrue .The nurse that did was less than sympathetic. I then saw a gp today for a second go .I was given 2mg of diazepam before hand and she was the kindest person I have met in my endo journey so far.She tried different sized

Smear Hell!
Just got back from my first smear since being diagnosed and operative laproscopy for endo. Had my first ever smear 3 years ago and it was very uncomfortable, but OMG today was horrendous and I ended up screaming out at one stage. Luckily the nurse practitioner who did it was lovely and told me before

Hi. Haven't wrote a post For awhile. I have grade 4 endo / adenomyosis and 2 chocolate cyst. Back in January I ended up in hospital with appendicitis. When they removed my appendix they saw that I had endo on my colon. The doctor was surprised that I never had any bowel problems before! I've had painful

A young close family member recently had an abnormal smear test, sent for colposcopy and biopsy, letter came with results today , Says 'shows you have cin3,' then says to have laser treatment. Nowhere does it say what cin3 is! There should at least be an explanation of what cin3 means. we have been

Why are my internal exams and cervical smear tests still so mind numbly painful
Had a routine cervical smear test done this morning .I,m on zoladex and have been for a while and thought that these procedures would be less painful. Started off ok and I thought hooray this going to be a breeze then the nurse hit my cervix and oh boy I disappeared up the bed screamed out in pain and

How long before your endo returned?
If it even has returned after surgery! (Hopefully not!) I remain positive.... after having my 1st lap in May and having endo removed from my bladder, I have lived the past 3 months in what I can only call bliss! After suffering from constant bladder infections, lower back pain, bloating, pelic pain etc

PLEASE HELP/ADVICE :( :( :( :(
I posted this over 2 months ago…. Just over 3 years ago I was diagnosed with endo after a very overdue laparoscopy. Before this time I went through many years of different pills all which didn’t work until I finally got somewhere and during my laparoscopy I was given the mirena coil. Over the 3 years

Something positive :)
I wrote a really upset and long post last week after my consultant appointment basically saying how sick, traumatised and violated the sheer amount of excruciatingly painful, humiliating and failed-attempt swabs/internal examinations I have had to have over the last few years and how I just couldn't

Completely traumatised.
I put a big post up yesterday about my experience with endo/treatment I've received. But just needed to vent a little more. I have no idea how I am ever going to get out of this and I haven't stopped crying since my hospital appointment yesterday. It's not even the endo, or the treatment, or anything

Consultant wants me to repeatedly go on/off prostap?
Hi, I'm new here but was diagnosed with endometriosis two years ago, when I was 22, after suffering for about 8 years. There's a tonne of stuff I just want to get off my chest because I feel like none of my friends/family/fiance truly understand some of the things, and I need to know that other people

Waited five months for plevic ultrasound after being refferred by doctor in January. Had to have vaginal scan as have a tilted womb .
Had the ultrasound in may technician said I had fibroids but not big enough to cause heavy bleeding a week later went to docs for results and he said I had an ovarian mass on right and fibroids and one was attached to ovary on the left because of position on uterus the technician couldn't rule out it

Is period disruption normal after the morning after pill?
I recently had to take the morning after pill twice in one cycle due to two unfortunate accidents within a week of each other. Afterwards my period came on time and lasted for the normal length - however, after a few days I got what seems like another period (slightly lighter than usual) that has lasted

Breast biopsy continued
Hello all, ablation done 2 weeks ago, not a sign of a palpitation or a flutter so fingers crossed, slight pain when deep breathing also seems to have gone, highly recommend it and also recommend Castle Hill hospital in Hull. Wide excisional biopsy done earlier this week and I have to say it was definitely

Cervical screening test (smear test)? Do you?
I had my first smear when I was 22 and my gynaecologist (in Brazil) said I had to do it every year! But, here in the UK I noticed the recommendation is according to age group..."25 and 49 are invited for testing every three years, and women aged between 50 and 64 are invited every five years." NHS choices

Help for heavy periods with migraines.
I have been feeling really good recently since starting B12 and ferretin supplements apart from when my period starts. I bleed heavily for a week and have the most awful right sided migraine which completly wipes me out. Can anyone suggest something which could ease the symptoms. Doc has prescribed me

Extended period/perimenopause question
Hi, Sorry if I haven't picked the correct board or forum to pose this question to. I 'think' I'm going through the start of or am already in the menopause. My periods for the last 2-3 years have been odd in as much as they will be regular but stop completely for a day or two around day 5 then recommence
