‘Biodegradable’ CAR may aid transplant in AML
CAR-T therapy first showed success in CLL and AML leukaemias, but one of the problems with CAR-T is that the T-cells are not selective against cancerous lymphocytes, so they keep killing off both cancerous and non-cancerous lymphocytes long after treatment initiation. For CLL patients, that means long

Does anyone have any experience with Rituximab?
So I've been having IVIg on and off for the last 8 months and while it works well for me it's really difficult to make the whole week off college and work fit (and I know it'll make keeping a career difficult). My rheumy has suggested Rituximab as an alternative so that she can also get me off the godforsaken

Good Early Surgery Outcome but frUstrating Warfarin management
Sorry it's taken a couple weeks to write an update on my one level spinal fusion but here it goes: my GP organized my presurgery bridging using LOVENOX. Felt like kind of a joke as my INR was only 1.5 ten days prior to surgery (my therapeutic range he agreed on is 2.5-3.5, which I only hit once since

MMF and ITP
Hi everyone, I got diagnosed with ITP in August 2014, never even new what a platelet was before I was admitted into hospital with a count of 4. I was started on 60mg of steriods but it was apparent very quickly that they were not working so was slowly weaned off them thankfully as they made me feel

Baby with ITP
Hi I'm new and a bit lost and I guess looking for input/help/someone to listen. My 5 month old baby girl has ITP. Has done since she was 2 months old. For two months she pretty much had no platelets, not low - almost none. They'd see an occasional one (nice and fat) on the slides, but she wasn't responsive

Hashimoto's - finding a job
I really need some advice. About three years ago I had spinal fusion surgery in my lower back (they had to go through the stomach). I was off work but had been taking time off work anyway for a list of other problems - from migraines, fatigue, extreme brain fog etc. It took two years for me to recover

Cyclosporin
Hi all Having tried and failed with: Azathioprine, Rituximab, IvIG, N-Plate, Eltrombopag, Predisolone, MMF and Dexamethasone. I am tapering my prednisone so that I am off it shortly and will then begin Cyclosporin. Anyone any experience with this? Has it worked? Side effects?
