Husbands started on medication had one IVIG infusion so far, spent a week in the hospital last month for an infection that got out of hand very quickly, home from work for 6 weeks this is his second week back to work , he is a little sore he's a mechanic, he's finding that he is more tired not sure if it's the CLL or possible side effect of medication. He is taking Imbruvica . Does anyone else feel the medication makes them tired ? he was feeling that way before going back to work.

Are you talking about the IVIG? Most people don't have side effects, though there are some who report that they are tired the next day, and a few who don't tolerate it well. The first thing to do if IVIG seems to be the reason for the fatigue would be to ask about changing brands. Many find that just changing brands (doesn't matter which specific brands) solves their problem.
Oh Sorry, no the Imbruvica. Thank you for the advice definitely talking to doctors.
My husband felt very tired for 2-3 weeks after starting Imbruvica, but he is beginning to have more energy now. Doctor told us that sometimes your body takes a while to adjust to any medication.
I have been on Imbruvica for 10 months and have had the joint pain side effects that others report. I have good energy thank goodness. I am also an IVIG veteran with no side effects. I would consider other sources of your husband’s fatigue. He may still be in recovery from the infectious disease. When my WW ended I was hospitalized for 3 weeks with blood sepsis and was pretty weak for awhile. I was unable to return to work for two months due to neutropenia and compromised immune system. If your doc could give him a limited duty return to work excuse, maybe he could work 2-3 days a week until he is stronger. Best wishes 🌞
Thank you.
