Sorry to hear you are going through this. I don't have any answers other than saying for me once I got rid of the virus or whatever triggered the ITP and got my immune system balanced I improved dramatically.
My story. The ITP was triggered by a bad virus or parasites that I caught in March 2017 in Costa Rica. Once I got help from a homeopathic doctor to balance my immune system and rid my body of virus and parasites caught in Costa Rica, I have been stable since October 2017.
Before that, from May 2017 till Oct 2017 the virus/parasites triggered my immune system to attack my platelets every 2 weeks and bottom out to 1,000-7,000 count. This went on for 5 months of rollercoaster platelet counts of 1,000 to over a million(after Nplate) Every two weeks I was on IVIG and DEX bursts; it was a horrible cycle.
I am around 160,000 to 190,000 platelet count for a while now and have had no IVIG or dex since 10/17. I was diagnosed with ITP 2 weeks after my return to Colorado from Costa Rica. My platelets went as low as 1,000-7,000 during those horrible 2 week cycles of IVIG/dex bursts.
I want to share what I am taking and doing
Western Medicine: 25mg of Promacta three times a week.
Eastern Homopathics: Immunosupport-2 caps every day, Adrenal Support - 2 caps every day, skateliver oil (increases platelet production)- 2 caps every day,
and an antivirus homeopathic 1 dropper 2Xd, and immuno stabilizer homeopathic 1 dropper 2Xd.
The homeopathic doctor instructed me to quit gluten 100% in October which I did. And to have dairy only 2Xweek. He said goat cheese whenever is fine.
I also try really hard to keep my stress level down.
I am not saying I am fine and over ITP but I am cautiously optimistic that I can stay stable.
I must say the Western doctors thought I was crazy to pursue other options but I knew their bandaid method was lacking.

Hi CDmom, I’m confused are you asking if ITP can be cured by homeopathic balancing of immune system or are you stating that ITP can be cured by this method?
I am saying it is worth a try and I want to bring the possibility to light for people with ITP to consider eastern medicine, but you need a really good homeopathic doctor. It seems to have helped me. I would never tell anyone to be unsafe and quit western medicine but to be open to combining it with eastern medicine. It is a slow process rebalancing the immune system.

Hi, I just reviewed your homeoexpert .com site. Are you kidding me, you’re willing to believe anything that dr. Arsalan Rauf says? He has no scientific/medical training, has a MHS ( masters of human sexually), and a MA in English literature and a D.H.M.S. In 2008. ( online masters degree).
Do you really believe that Crotalus Hor ( made from the venom of rattle snakes) and Lachesis will cure ITP? The site did provide adequate information on ITP and it’s causes but I question his remedies. He is also smart enough to add a disclaimer stating his remedies are for information only and should not be used to self medicate

But I will try to answer your question of how my homeopathic provider has helped me. He uses the Avitar Machine to determine homeopathic remedies that will help balance my immune system, increase the platelet production or support my adrenals. Specifically, they have included Astraguus, Viru-chord, ImmunoMod Capsules, Fermented Skate Liver oil, Adrenal Life Force. But you need to find a doctor that can guide you to what your body needs. I go to him monthly and he looks at the results of the Avitar and tweaks my homeopathics which I buy at either his office or the Vitamin Store. Also, he will adjust my homeopathics after reviewing my weekly platelet count. I know it all sounds crazy but I am just so glad he helped break the cycle of every 2 week IVIG and Dex that went on for 5 months. I forgot to mention that I did also use low dose Prednisone, about 20mg weaned down very quickly in Oct/Nov that I believe also helped me get over the IVIG Dex cycles.
Functional medicine doctors look at the cause of problems and could be helpful as well.
I am taking my time writing this stuff because I want to help others. When I was in the middle of the ITP mess, I decided when I get through the tunnel, I would help others and make a positive reason for this terrible thing that happened to me. I am thankful someone told me about this homeopathic doctor and I feel if I can help one person with this information it is worth my efforts. I understand this will not be the answer for may people with ITP. I am still in the cautiously optimistic phase that I will remain well and stable at 190,000 platelets.
Some where along the line I completely missed your platelet count 190K without medication, that is amazing! Sorry but having had chronic refractory ITP for seven years I have heard it all on the alternative treatments. ITP is your immune system going "bandy" and homeopathic medicine is not going to touch the condition.
But I suppose if it improves your mood then take the alternative.
My homeopathic is trying to fix my broken immune system. It became broke after I had a bad virus that it could not handle. I used only Western medicine for 5 months with very poor results. Now I use homeopathy along with western medicine. It may not work for everyone but it helped my platelet count go from crashes of 1,000 to a stable 190,000.
