Cataract surgery and anticoagulants
I'll be having
cataract
surgery
soon and I'm wondering if any of you were told to discontinue anticoagulants before the procedure. I haven't received any instructions yet regarding medications but I'm just curious as to what to expect.

SLT after a cataract op
Hi all looking to determine if anyone has gone through an SLT after a
cataract
surgery
. Key question is whether the laser can operate through an artificial lens. I am 43 and weighing up a trabeculectomy vs an implant (preserflow is what is being pushed).

Prolapse after surgery
I am having
cataract
surgery
right now, so I haven't been to see my urogynecologist. Tell you the truth, I am almost afraid to make an appointment. Is this it? What happened? Has this happened to anyone? Were you able to get it fixed?

cataracts, glaucoma and astigmatism
With having glaucoma, cataracts and astigmatism I am thinking it might be best to go private with a surgeon who could take all these conditions into account when doing the
cataract
surgery
. I could then also time it to be outside of hay fever season which makes my eyes sore.

Saw eye dr today for yearly visit
I will eventually need
cataract
removal
surgery
. I am in my mid 40s. The eye dr said she has seen some patients with this. Has anyone else been diagnosed with cataracts at an early age? I know they are not brought on by MS and usually don't happen until later in life.

Dry eyes
( did have
cataract
removal
surgery
in June of 2023.) Since diagnosis of GCA in late July 2023 I have had very dry eyes. I am on Thealoz Duo drops (3% Trehalose, 0.15 Sodium Hyaluronate). Use this several times a day. But--eyes feel dry all the time.

Taking Betmiga with Pred for Urine Control?
Just wondered if anyone takes Betmiga (Mirabegron) for better urine control and if it is advisable? Since having PMR from 2022 I have frequency and urgency bladder issues, particularly at night. I would love to sleep the night through or travel without angst! While I am on, glad to say I had the

problems with cataract surgery
I went for my cataract op today. I thought I was in the theatre for a long time and discovered that part of the cataract had gone into the back of my eye and they could not retrieve it or put the new lens in. I was told that there is a 2% risk of this which could be worse if short sighted and receiving

Is there a link with taking Forstair and cataracts?
I was diagnosed with late onset asthma just before the first Covid lockdown. My eyes were always fine until then, but within a year of taking Forstair I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. My research suggests the steroid in the inhaler might be responsible, but it has been dismissed by my GP

Cataract Surgery: NHS referral for fast treatment
