Vision after surgery

I found out in 2022 I had a macular hole. I had the surgery then the cataract surgery.

I then had cataract surgery for my other eye. My vision seems to have gotten worse in the last month or two. I go back this Wednesday for a check up and to be fitted for glasses. I was told at my last visit the left eye that had the mh would not be any better. I find it hard to read without a magnifying glass and also reading glasses together. I’m 57 and in good health for the most part. Never dreamed I’d be in this position.

Hi Nancy, so sorry you are still having problems after macular hole op and cataracts removed. I thought once cataracts were removed the sight improved. Hopefully with your new glasses things will improve. Best wishes.x

How did you get on when you went for your check up? Have the glasses helped? My vision has never been as good since I had a macular hole repaired but you do get used to it.
