Stopping Ibrutinib
Thanks, The stoppage will help as I will need
cataract
surgery
soon plus knee replacement in the near future. I am most concerned how soon can the CLL come back and will resuming Ibrutinib simply put it in remission again.

I have been on Ibrutinib for 4 years and need to do

Anyone opted for private Cataract surgery?
Have just had a routine eye test and been told I need
cataract
surgery
. I thought I needed new glasses but it turns out it's cataracts! Anyway my optician has referred me on the NHS via my GP but I'm wondering about going private as I have no idea how long I will have to wait for NHS treatment.

I have also been losing vision clarity for the past 2 yrs, and now I have learned that I have worrisome glaucoma and I am reducing eye pressure with drops and pending other methods, and I will have
cataract
surgery
in the new year.

Vision after surgery
I had the
surgery
then the
cataract
surgery
. I then had
cataract
surgery
for my other eye. My vision seems to have gotten worse in the last month or two. I go back this Wednesday for a check up and to be fitted for glasses.

Possible new treatments for PMR and GCA?
GCA seriously affected my right eye- which remains with better , albeit poor sight- even after
cataract
surgery
. The core problem is damage to the optic nerve which seems- or seemed- impossible to remedy.

It’s early days for me to decide what to do re right eye but just wondered who has had
cataract
surgery

Cataract surgery on an eye with a functioning bleb.
Has anyone had cataract removal on an eye with a functioning bleb? Was it successful? I know that the chance of bleb failure is about 30%.

Posterior subcapsular cataracts surgery
I went to a routine eye exam yesterday and after a retinal scan was told I need to have
cataract
surgery
, sooner rather than later, as this type of
cataract
progresses quickly. Anyone have this issue?

Upcoming surgery
I recently had
cataract
surgery
on one eye. It was successful, but my surgeon told me afterward that it was very difficult. My RLS kicked in under sedation (even ketamine) so badly that at times my eye disappeared from her view under the microscope!

Vision in the recovery weeks ( and long term) after a trabeculectomy.
I have quite a large area of vision loss in my right eye ( also had a clear lens extraction “same as
cataract
surgery
in reality “) in that eye in preparation for the next surgery ( trabeculectomy now planned for my right eye).

Hallo all What are your experiences of
cataract
surgery
with AMD? I saw my consultant in the glaucoma clinic yesterday (I am a suspect narrow angles). I also have one wet, one dry eye. I have injections in my wet eye, currently been 10 weeks since the last one.

Cataract surgery and anticoagulants
I'll be having
cataract
surgery
soon and I'm wondering if any of you were told to discontinue anticoagulants before the procedure. I haven't received any instructions yet regarding medications but I'm just curious as to what to expect.
