New at this
I started humira 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I felt a small non painful bump on the roof of my mouth. I drug my finger over it and it seemed to “ chase” to the side a bit. Now there are more in the new area and it is sore, through not terribly painful, all the way back to the soft palate. I’ve had fever blisters

FISH
I love fish. It's the only meat I eat. I am no fish expert but a friend of a friend up here in Scotland is. Apparently, eating oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, tuna and trout can decrease inflammation. He said people with Inflammatory arthritis should try to eat oily fish at least twice per week.

Krill oil anyone? Interesting research to start for Lupus SLE
Hi all http://lupusnewstoday.com/2018/08/29/new-trial-assessing-potential-krill-oil-ease-lupus-symptoms/ However the participants in the trial will be those who eat seafood two or less times a month(?!), so will probably show an improvement anyway... as shown in this 2016 article: http://lupusnewstoday.com

B12 management
With recent bloods of B12 showing 211 (200-) I have just seen gp and was told it was normal and did not require treatment. I had pdf with guidance and argued the point. Was told it had gone up from 133 (180-) 2 years ago and would take time. Advised supplements from Holland & Barrett. I advised I did

Is muscular pain and stiffness a symptom of PA?
Hi, I've just joined PA because my husband was diagnosed with PA about 2 weeks ago. At this stage we're hoping that it is just PA he has as his symptoms are not usual. He is suffering from a lot of stiffness and pain, mostly in his large muscles. This is very bad at times and at other times not so bad

Fish Oil & Bruising
i have been gorging on salmon for a couple day. Last nite i hard bumped my left arm on the door jam over a 1" purple bruised spot and it tore the skin and started oozing bleeding continuing the next day. I'm on 10mg prednisone and 81mg aspirin. I've had this problem before but this was more severe. I

what are common ibs food triggers?
been recently diagnosed with IBS-D (make that urgent, uncontrollable D) and it seems like everything triggers it! My doctor did not recommend trying the low fodmap diet (and I don't think I could!), so I've been trying to eat more healthily while avoiding IBS. As per my gastro doc, I am taking IBgard

Addicted to fertility related supplements - Need help!
I think I might have a bit of a problem! I think I'm taking 11 types of pills a day, it's costing me a fortune and I am starting to think I might have some sort of addiction! Even though it's pretty clear that I am never going to have my own baby (and hubby is merrily drinking and smoking away without

Essential oils
In my search for relief I was asked if I had tried essential oils. Has anyone here tried this therapy? I looked it up online and there are some suggestions for using essential oils for RLS.

Skin patches, sublingual sprays etc. Do they work?
Hi I tested negative for intrinsic factor antibodies and my b12 is quite low (see profile for numbers), but I am Hashi's and not got the treatment for that quite right yet. I have some b12 deficient symptoms (possibly, could be the Hashi's perhaps). As more b12 won't do me any harm, and working on

How do you keep busy mentally, physically, socially etc... to help manage loneliness, self-worth?
This has been a big test of of character I’m sure for all of us. I’ve tried to find ways to stay active mentally and all other ways to beat depression, loneliness and self-worth! What do you do on good days? On bad days? On good days, I try and do the things I love! I listen to music, sing along!
