Confused after conflicting tests, diagnoses, etc.?

Prednisolone
Hi Went back to GP as still having joint pain. My rheumatologist thought it was OA but when I went for ultrasound nothing was found. My GP has now put me on prednisolone 6 a day for 3 days to see if this helps. I'm still awaiting a diagnosis. My inflammatory markers were normal last time apart from the

Early Symptoms - My approach
Six weeks after my first swollen finger, achy hands and general pain in my feet - I am trying an elimination diet and various supplements. Am also making a massive effort on Dental health - as well as toothpaste swilling with Xylitol and using an electric water flosser. Just had a deep filling replaced

New to PMR GCA - Looking for diet-related treatment
Hi folks. I am so happy to have found this site! I was just diagnosed yesterday and put on prednisone. This is my second diagnosed autoimmune disease - I was diagnosed with SLE (Lupus) in 2009. I was able to get all my Lupus symptoms under control, resulting in almost normal labs, through stress

Washing Pet Dander out of clothes?
Is there a product that can do this? We had a rabbit and his dander was on our clothes and has spread to others. We’ve tried washing at high temperatures, multiple rinses, anti allergen product from Amazon, Eucalyptus Oil but the clothes still give me asthma! Is there a magical product out there? Thanks

90 day drug holiday
I started the 90 drug free holiday with a PSA of 0.08. Next it went down to 0.06. This week it was 0.04. My GP roll around a sonar and we couldn't find any swollen lymph nodes. A year ago my first MRI showed a blib of 9mm on the liver. It is now 15 months later and it is still 9 mm. The GP and my oncologist

Tests after Biotin stopped
SlowDragon suggested I put up a post of my own, so here goes. I have been bugging my PCP for nearly two years about my lingering symptoms of hypothyroidism, despite being on 175 mcg / day of Synthroid. Specifically, going bald, fragile nails, cold intolerance, dry gritty eyes, difficulty losing weight

"Likely peripheral spondyloarthropathy"
Hi all - hope you're having one of the better days today. Just wondering if anyone else has been diagnosed with the above like me, according to the rheumatologist's clinical letters which he's been writing to GP/others for the past two years? I don't really understand what it actually means and googling

Hi Everyone. My Mum has been diagnosed with copd. She is in her late 60s and stopped smoking 10 years ago. How can I best help her?
Looking at ways that can help with my Mum's copd. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been looking at essential oils and diffussers.

Your Medication And Supplements
Earlier this week there was a post where the issue related to the addition of turmeric as a supplement when taking anticoagulants. Interestingly around the weekend I got send a link from my old university (was one of the top polytechnics at the time) about a recent piece of research about taking supplements

What affects blood test results?
I remember reading on here that certain supplements affect thyroid blood test results but I can't seem to find that information anymore. I currently take tumeric, fish oil, vit D, vit C, CBD oil and iron. Do any of these affect blood test results if taken a day before the test? I know it's important

Recent PA diagnosis, serum levels high from oral cyanocobalamin, symptoms persist
Hi folks, 47-year-old female writing from the US; so glad I found this forum. After 10+ years of trying to get help with what I now realize were B12 deficient symptoms (mainly neurological; brain fog, clumsy, fatigue, low energy, grouchiness, sleep problems, etc.), my GP ordered a B12 test. 7/23:
