Hypoxic brain injury
My mom had hypoxic brain injury following a
cardiac
arrest
after massive clots in her lungs. She was revived but unfortunately according to an MRI scan, she had some hypoxic injury in the deeper parts (basal ganglia) of her brain. This happened two and a half months ago.

Any future complications as a result of a cardiac arrest such as mitral valve and/or aorta regurgitation?
I bleed out 6 liters of blood from a nicked embelliccus during a procedure and as a result had a
cardiac
arrest
. I have chronic liver disease also. Now I have mitral and aorta regurgitation ( mild presently) and not sure if this valve problem could be from my

Hypoxic Brain Injury
My husband had a
cardiac
arrest
at work on 3.2.17 and was given CPR until the ambulance arrived and shocked him twice to restart his heart. He arrested again in the hospital. He was in ICU in an induced coma for 10 days and is having an ICD fitted tomorrow.

I know this forum is about anemia but I have a question about polycythemia?
Okay so back in April my red blood cell counts were high 5.31(3.70-5.10). Hemoglobin 15.6, hematocrit 46.9. Doctor initially was testing for vitamin D3 deficiency. Had no idea about the red blood cell count he said everything was fine except the D3 deficiency. Now recently I just had a cardiac ablation

Cancelled surgery due to AF
They said I didn't want to have a
cardiac
arrest
in theatre! Fair enough. I'm on Apixaban and nothing else as my AF is really usually just an uneven not that fast rhythm thing and doesn't really affect me. I'm sure they were right and they are going to talk to a specialised cardiac anaesthetist.

Went in for lung biopsy and came out having had cardiac arrest and stroke.
I woke up in intensive care, they said that I went into
cardiac
arrest
and then I was having a small stroke which they call it a transient ischaemic attack which means a small stroke. It last a few hours and then I just had to rest in the hospital over night.
