Chemo Port
Hi Ladies can anyone share their experience with having a chemo port in their chest . I had a pic line 18 years ago but dr is suggesting the chest port this time . I have been reading online a bit about them and they sound a little more intense than my oncologist mentioned . Day after inserted bed rest

Ablation Date
Just thought I'd write to voice my admiration for the NHS. I've just been given a date for my second Cardiac Ablation - 17th November 2020. The first procedure made me symptom free for almost 5 years before I started getting arrhythmia again - so in my case, it clearly works well. I was told the waiting

Hope after a big bleed at 5 weeks 5 days pregnant
So after being on bed rest for week waiting through the weekend until my 6 weeks 4 days first scan, not knowing if I lost my bean like I had his 🌈 brother back in February. Still daily cramping spotting, Afraid to move or hope. The US teach found him within the first minute. When I saw/heard his heartbeat

Kidney biopsy and igA nephropathy (with UPDATE POST BIOPSY)
Hi. I am due for a kidney biopsy next week and wasn't given much tips on what to prepare or not do post biopsy other than stay in bed for 6hrs. Doctor told me that I might have igAn based on my proteinuria and high hematuria. I am very concerned as I am only 24 years old and a female trying to start

Losing a good friend of a similar age to
cardiac
arrest
and doing less than a 1000 steps a day in lockdown I knew I had to make change happen. Starting C25K alone because no one would run with me at home I thought I’d never have the motivation to keep going. Then I found this forum.

Polycythemia and pregnancy
Hello! Both my pregnancies I had severe subchorionic hemorrhaging. I was put on bed rest. I’ve always had heavy and clotty periods. I pass golf ball sized clots all the time. Could this all be due to PV? Thank you!

My partner suffered
cardiac
arrest
8th June. Sedated for 2 weeks but responding to pain tests. MRI was suggested as clear as was CT scan. Although he did develop a chest infection which delayed the removal of ventilator.

Home Sweet Home
My dear dad is home now after his
cardiac
arrest
. It was a long, horrible, but thankfully blessed journey to recovery. Thank you to everyone here for your support. I am sure I will continue to hang around and hopefully be able to offer support to those going through similar circumstances.

PUPO - my first FET ✅
I had my transfer done yesterday. It is my first FET as I only had 2 fresh in the past. We decided to transfer 1 embryo 5AB that was hatching, our best graded embryo that is PGS tested. I was pleasantly surprised to see my embryo in a dish, my heart just melted. It is so, so small I was shocked! They

Hello, I was just looking for information on other people’s experiences in ICU. A couple of weeks ago I put on a post and it was very helpful. My Father took a heart attack on the 23rd June, and luckily made it to hospital. He has been in Critical care unit since. They struggled to reduce is sedation

Heart Failure - The Return to Work
I’m recovering well from my
Cardiac
Arrest
(Dec 2019) and resulting diagnosis, in March 2020, of Heart Failure due to LVSD and low EF of 27%. Also had an ICD fitted (June 2020) to assist but overall I’m feeling well and want to return to work.

Head pain
Hi! I’m a few weeks out of hospital after viral encephalitis and what I’m suffering with the most is head pain that starts at the back of my neck when I sit up or stand or do anything upright. I have to spend most of the time lying down but I’m scared this is going to cause more problems with weakness

They are going to implant a defribilator next month due to sudden
cardiac

. I see my Nephrologist next week. I am going to see if I can get ready for dialysis as they already asked if I knew of any family members for a transplant.
