Following on from my past post about having slow heart rate episodes, I collapsed at home and was rushed to hospital. My poor dear husband thought I was dead. It was bank holiday weekend, the cardiac ward was on lock down with norovirus and I did not see a cardiologist until Monday. The idiot wanted

Panic disorder and a heart condition
However, the EP studies have a lot more severe risks, like stroke,
cardiac
arrest
, perforation of the heart, bleeding...logically, I know that these risks are unlikely to occur and are just the worse case scenario, but my panic disorder feeds off these worse case scenarios and works me up into a state

Three months after viral meningitis and still no energy!
Hi guys :) I got viral meningitis in February for the second year in a row. Three months on, I'm still suffering from very bad pains in my head and spine, my neck is stiff and I have vertigo. The worst however is the tiredness. All I do is have a shower or make a cup of tea and I get so tired. I spend

Newbie
Hey all, I'm new on here. I have been suffering with irregular periods, painful periods, pain during sex, cysts on my ovaries and a lot more for the past 3 years, however no doctors would listen to me and kept fobbing me off. I ended up in A&E on April 1st and had a U/S done in which they saw a cyst

3rd anniversary of my stay in ICU
I'd had planned surgery for a bowel resection and was in post operative recovery, unfortunately, my spleen ruptured causing massive blood loss and I was in
cardiac
arrest
. I had numerous arrests through the next 24 hrs and my family had been told it was highly likely that I wouldn't make it.

Start all over again
well it is just after 8pm here in Oz and I just had a call from rheumatology to say stop taking imuran as my liver test came back and they have gone from 240 to 860 in the last few weeks. So now the good news is I have to start the three month wait again to be eligible for biologics on something new.

Hi all!! I am brand new here…. In the past few years I’ve had 2 MIs, and a CABGx2 (9/17/14)… (and lost my only brother to Afib in Sept)… I was feeling great when a sharp pain over my heart through my left shoulder to the back of my neck… the pain was intense when I laid down…. I went to the hospital

Hi folks, wishing you all a calm day. Right, first of all I must tell you I have very bad osteoporosis. On the 27 February, my husband had a knee operation, on the 4th March I picked up my chip fryer and moved it to the other part of the kitchen, whoops, a wrenching feeling! On the 9th March I phoned

and so it continues
Well it has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. Hubby home from New Zealand after 7 weeks with his kids, glad he did as it may be the last time they see him. Off to specialist with him as he is getting very deaf and I suspect early stages of dementia so doesn't understand what is being said to him. He

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivors - Study
Hi, I'm looking to interview a few more people as part of a study I'm doing on outlook and emotional wellbeing. In particular, those aged 30-60 who've had a SCA 2+ years ago without knowledge of an existing condition. If anyone is interested and would like to tell their story, please let me know.

We said that the 10mg of Bisoprolol was making him dopey and unable even to drive - and he's a driving instructor - I'm having to do all the driving at the moment - but he said it was the best drug and even if it didn't reduce his heart rate would stop him going into
