Post traumatic amnesia
My partner is suffering from this at the moment after suffering a
cardiac
arrest
last month and I don't know what to do when he gets agitated about not coming home yet. Is there anything I can do to help him?

My partner suffered a heart attack and

Tachycardia after ablation
I had a
cardiac
arrest
over three years ago and have an ICD, defibrillator and pacemaker, which is monitored electronically (something like a satnav I imagine). I had a second ablation about two weeks ago and feel fine apart from being a bit breathless going upstairs.

Hypoxic brain Injury
On the 17th August my mum who is 46 suffered
cardiac
arrest
in her sleep ,I found her my husband carried out CPR until the ambulance came. She wasn't given a good prognosis and was told to say our goodbyes after 5 days on life support. She woke up after 36 hours off the machine.

"Eye Popping" Atrial Fibrillation
All it took was one dose or oral propranolol and his cardiac output dropped so low that he become markedly hypotensive and had a PEA (Pulseless Electrical Activity)
cardiac
arrest
. Let's review AV blocking agents for atrial fibrillation and heart failure. (I could not get the table to print.

Memory loss
My partner was in ICU for 6 days after suffering a
cardiac
arrest
. He is doing fantastic and he is on his feet, although not too steady. His past memory seems fine but he is making up stories about stuff as in being friends with famous motorbikers, him owning a garage and different other things.

A little worried 😐
My partner had a heart attack and
cardiac
arrest
on Monday. Thankfully he is now off sedation and morphine but he is totally delusional and is unable to keep still. Is this normal after being sedated for 5 days?

Cheers from Munich!! (I'm the baldie on the left, my hair fell out) xx
Hey all, after being in a coma for 2 weeks (swine flu, double pneumonia, sepsis,
cardiac
arrest
) and dialysis for 3 in Feb and March this year, I'm finally on holiday in Munich with my hubby and best friends. I'm a long way from "incompatible with life" that was my prognosis!! Cheers!!!

What rights & options do we have?
My partner suffered a
cardiac
arrest
on the 19 September and has come through that OK after having a stent. He came out of intensive care a week later and is suffering from memory problems, which are getting better daily.

HLA-B27 - what do you know about it?
Hi All, I'm posting on this forum as don't really know where else to post but as HLA-b27 is auto-immune related, the lupus forum seemed most apt and as I have previously posted, I do have a lot of the lupus symptoms :) I've been to my GP today for a follow up on the blood tests done at the beginning

Chest Pain, Feel Like I'm Dying!
Im' afraid I'm having an actual reaction and will go into
cardiac
arrest
or something. But I'm also under a large amount of stress and am speculating panic. Would it make sense for the anasthetic to randomly cause these symptoms 9 hours later?
