Diagnosed with APS in 1998/99, on coumadin since 1996
I got a blood clot when I was 19. Doctors didn't know why, and put me on coumadin for 3 months. The symptoms improved, but then after the 3 months of treatment ended, I experienced burning in my fingers and toes. I took an asprin a day and the symptoms resolved. I stopped taking it thinking I didn't

At my wit’s end
The last diothermie treatment I had ended with a 2 minute
cardiac
arrest
due to sever vagel response - that was two years ago and my pain is worse than ever - urination/ opening my bowel, passing wind - all too painful in days before, during and after my periods.

Ablation tomorrow
Hey guys, I’m scheduled to have a RF cardiac ablation tomorrow for PSVT and I thought I’d create a post here. I’ve had the condition since I was in my teens and now 12 years later, I decided to opt for the ablation. The irony is I haven’t had any episodes in the last few months (I’ve had the odd flutter

Here we go again? 😥

Should I declare Beta Blocker as High pressure medication for travel insurance?
They ask do I have high cholesterol NO, in fact very low, but then am I prescribed medicine for high cholesterol and of course it’s NO but we are generally prescribed a statin as it has other benefits too for
cardiac

survivors so again I reluctantly responD YES again!

Heart Rate
I'm now 2 years on since
Cardiac
Arrest
and am desperate to get back running and cycling but I've been advised that my max heart rate is 109bpm and I can obviously soon get it up and above that.

Post lap bowel pain
Hi All I had my lap 3 weeks ago and they removed some endo and cut some adhesions. Recovering ok until pain last week so lots of bed rest which has helped. But I'm getting severe pain going to the toilet- I wake up in the morning and am very uncomfortable and having a bowel movement is incredibly painful

At the airport with 3 top quality blastos on board!
Well what can i say except egg collection and embryo transfer is totally different here. No big hospital just a small and friendly clinic. Actually got to see the blastos going in like a train via ultrasound 😂. Two hours bed rest afterwards and ordered food in to the clinic. Feel shattered now and have

Cardiac Ablation
So, after having a reveal device fitted I was told I'd not have to see my cardiologist unless something was picked up.......that day came and I saw him last week. Since having the reveal device fitted (for racing HR and palpitations) my heart has "paused" twice, once for 4 seconds and once for 9 seconds

Svt’s and Afib
I had cardiac ablation March 2018. Two week heart monitor showed some Svt’s and some Afib. On medication and blood thinner. What heart medicine do you take to control Svt’s? I have had multaq, tioksen, amiodarone, flecainide. I now am on metropolol, fosinopril, and eliquis. I have read on this

In need of some encouragement and insight. (waking up from coma, dealing with the trach, etc...)
Still waiting for the biopsy results to know for sure) The
cardiac
arrest
happened when the doctor was already in the room with her, talking to her, so the CPR was immediate, to our understanding.

Can exercise make symptoms worse?
I am recovering from a hypoxic brain injury that was caused by a
cardiac
arrest
in April this year. I am just getting back into light exercise and have been for a gentle jog/walk this evening.

Memories!
During your AF journey, is there one particular time you remember above all else? For me it would have to be back in 2008, when I didn't know I had AF, and trying to pee into a bottle in CCU in the early hours after being on a trolley for 5 hours and getting interrupted by nurses trying to do my admission

Skipping heart beats
I get very scared about
cardiac
arrest
and it’s hard to believe it’s not something wrong. Anyone else have these? Can these really just be anxiety?

Bisoprolol
Hi there, I was diagnosed earlier this year with SVT (a form of arrythmia) and have tried having the cardiac Ablation procedure which unfortunately did not work. They have now suggested I start on a low dose of Bisoprolol but I’m slightly nervous about taking it as I’m only 21 years old and of quite
