Advice Please
I’d stopped Biotin, Omega 3,
Calcium
Citrate, Vitamin D3 + Mk7, Folic Acid 5 days previously and my weekly injection of MTX was 2 days beforehand.

Coronary Calcium Score High
Calcium
score is 2581 Agatston/Volume Mildly calcified Aortic valve High risk for obstructive CAD - precludes CTCA - alternative investigation advised. Also mild cylindrical Bronchiectasis 😵💫 Question Is the
calcium
score totally awful? What might alternative investigation be?

Akathisia similar to RLS
Anti psychotics, anti nausea meds, and
calcium
channel blockers are the main culprits. It is thought that they block dopamine 2 receptors in the brain. However, akathisia usually resolves when the medications are stopped.

Alternative to beta blockers
As a result of this, my cardiologist took me off Bisoprolol and prescribed a drug named Diltiazem, which is a
calcium
channel blocker as opposed to a beta blocker. It has only been a couple of weeks but so far I am cautiously optimistic that it may have solved the problem.

Recently diagnosed and have questions
I'm vegan but my vitamin D and
calcium
levels are normal. They did tests for secondary causes but everything has come back normal. So I've been having a hard time coming to terms with it, seeing as I'm already doing what you're supposed to do to help. I've bought a weight vest.

Alternatives to milk
I know there are lots of milk alternatives, eg soy milk, oat milk etc - does anyone know which one is the best for people trying to avoid
calcium
? I don’t really want to try soy milk, and as far as I can see, oats have some
calcium
. Does anyone know of a
calcium
free alternative? Thank you.

I need some help with this
Calcium
and potassium is fine. iPTH has come way down since I started dialysis. most all numbers are stable or better. Except for phosphorus, which got to 7.2. But I have been on a binder for a while now and should be better. I still pee and a lot. Clearance is fabulous.

Newly diagnosed with PMR and thank you for all the info here
We didn’t talk today about meds/prevention for osteoporosis, but doc says we will address that in future appointment (I take Vit D and
calcium
already). So thank you very much to all involved in keeping this site going. I am grateful.

Could MCAS a possibility?
After being diagnosed with PTH insufficiency and hypocalemia otherwise know as hypoPARA (non surgical) I was told to increase my
calcium
intake in which i realised the more cheese I ate the more my mouth burned so i was sent back into immunology.

High urine ph from calcium supplements
Has anyone one had high urine ph from taking plant based
calcium
? My dr wants me to completely stop taking my
calcium
for 2 weeks to see if that is the reason. Im worried about not taking
calcium
for 2 weeks but he said nothing will happen in two weeks to my bones.

parathyroid
hi everyone, I had my parathyroid checked not long ago due to high
calcium
levels and hypo symptoms even when levels are near optimal. My worse symptoms are fatigue, muscle weakness and severe aching all over, heart problems (palps). Have attached bloods.

Raised calcium levels on prednisolone for pmr and long term lithium
my
calcium
levels are raised and have been for some time. At the last blood test they were 0.61. They have been 0.64. I’m not sure when the alarm bells will ring for the medical profession. A GP at our practice would not refer me to an NHS endocrinologist. I have been to see one privately.
