Six compression fractures in lower spine

I've had six compression fractures in the last three months, all treated with kyphoplasties. On Fosamax and calcium citrate plus vitamin D3. Dexa score is -2.9. Should I be on something stronger?

I would recommend a combo product like True Osteo. You need Vit K2, I use both Mk-4 and Mk-7. Calcium can be dangerous if you aren't taking K2 with it. I've had 10 fractures in spine in the last 15 months, all but two are kypho'd now...I have to wait in between for body to settle down, autoimmune diseases that flare post surgery! Fosamax is a low level med, my Endo said it would not help me, and surgeon requested Tymlos due to multiple fractures.

How long after kypho surgery did it take to see results (lack of pain etc)

Well, depends on the fracture location. It took about a month for the thoracic fractures to improve to not think so much about them; now the acute nasty pain was gone in about three days, but the nagging pain, the lack of strength, took about a month with exercising. The muscles go fast, so really important to do exercising and walking is great too. Lumbar fractures seemed easier, maybe more muscles down there, not such a tricky zone. But now, about one year from the thoracic kyphos, and nerve repairs, they feel normal. Still working on getting strength back.

Thank you so much. I'm getting so down. It's been 6 days. I had t8 and all lumbar done plus spine Jack's in L1. I just had read of people waking up to being better. I guess I had unrealistic ideas

Oh my! Waking up and feeling better would have been a Godsend! I was somewhat better, but three of my procedures, done without anesthesia were rough, I had spasms the entire time. The rest were under anesthesia and much better experience. I was numbed with a lot of lidocaine and marcaine to try to stop the spasms, so yeah, pain was way down...until that wore off. First week I was better, but not healed. Next comes working muscles to get strength back so you can hold up your torso better, get back strength standing, sleep better too. It's a process, we are all different. One day at a time!
