I have found my Peak Flow readings = 580 in 2008, 550 in 2011, 550 in 2014, 550 in 2020. I think these are good readings = only mild asthma?
Nurse thinks my asthma is getting worse - I think it's steady & Mild?

Miracle has happened - Stopping gluten cleared asthma
I have been using ICS for asthma for 40 years. Intolerance to dairy made asthma worse . Then the ICS caused bad candida overgrowth. Went on candida diet which included a suggestion to go gluten free, I did . Wow !!! asthma gone !!! I was on Ciclesonide 200 x2 twice a day. GP said must take it slowly

Pollen and storms
Hi everyone. It looks like it is set to be another scorcher today for most of us. For those of you who find the weather can trigger asthma symptoms, I have added a link from our sister charity Asthma UK's website you may like to read, and also advice from the NHS. Rising pollen and thunderstorms

Some Positive News
I joined this group in Jan after a devastating Stage 4 OC diagnosis in Dec. 7 rounds of chemo, an emergemcy op (that resulted in a stoma), debaulking surgery (and stoma reversal) and Covid since then. And right now - I am in REMISSION! The days and nights were often so dark, had it not been for those

Asthma Medical Wristband
Hi everyone, sorry for not posting in a long long time. Since Feb 2020 my Asthma has been on a downhill spiral. 18 admissions in 2020 alone and over 7 this year so far. I'm knackered! Does anyone have any recommendations for a Asthma Medical Wristband? I'm keen to get one. I try not to wear metal wristbands

Fresh ginger works !!
I had asthma attack a few days ago. The mucus was blocking my throat that made me difficult to breath. So I ran into the kitchen and put a slice of ginger into my mouth. After chewing it for about a minute , I started to feel it was working . I continued to have fresh ginger tea on the following days

Asthma and your body clock
Could your body clock affect what asthma symptoms you get, when and how often? This is a fascinating area of research that Asthma UK has provided funding for. Dr Hannah Durrington, a respiratory consultant and lecturer at the University of Manchester, has looked at how and why our body clock – the mechanisms

Adenomyosis and Endometriosis
I have been told that I have adenomyosis and endometriosis. I am having a really bad time at the moment. I have bowel issues and its causing me so much pain. Hoping to see specialist in the next few weeks. Hoping they will offer me surgery to tone down the pain that I am having. I have had a resection

Parents of children with asthma
How do you help your child to manage their asthma? Children often feel more confident and in control if they are encouraged to help manage their own asthma. Even very young children can start doing little things to help care for themselves. If you have a young child, encourage them to carry their reliever

Told no more asthma
Hello i was diagnosed with asthma in 2013 after periods of breathing problems. I took clenil daily and through my pf readings they improve when I have taken it, when I wasn't taking and when I'm ill I get a maximum score of 400 but when triggers such as dust and I'm away from work I hit 550 to 600.

Keeping a peak flow record
Evening everybody, I had a pretty bad flare up a few month's back and the asthma nurse changed me from clenil to fostair. She asked me to take my peak flow result recorded for a couple of months, at the startI was averaging 350, months pass and yesterday I had my medication review with the asthma nurse
