Severe asthma registry
Hey, I started biologics yesterday. Whilst at the hospital I had a form to sign to be added to the severe asthma registry.. I forgot to ask what it was as it was all a bit overwhelming yesterday! Just wondering who else is on it and what's the purpose of it?

Colitis, Terminal iletis or Crohns?
Hi, I had my gallbladder out in June 2021. Straight away I then suffered from urgent severe diarrhoea, bloating, yellow poo, fatigue, excessive flatulence and exhaustion. My GP ordered a calprotectin test in September which came back at 222 and I had a repeat one in December which came back at 430.

New to Asthma
Hi there, this is my first time posting here, I’d like to share my experience with Asthma and would also love to hear some of your experiences and how you deal with this. (I also know I can’t ask for any medical advice) I had exercise induced asthma as a toddler, but grew out of it pretty quickly and

COVID and Asthma
Hello all, my son has recently tested positive for covid and I know I’m bound to get it soon. So I was wondering if anyone that has asthma and caught covid been eligible for the two special treatments from the GP? Only asking because I read something about it on asthma UK and I’m kind of looking ahead

Post Hysterectomy Support
Hi I have been through a pretty bad time with Endometriosis in the last few years after we decided to start a family. Turned out i had stage 4 (and beyond!) endo with a 15cm chocolate cyst on my ovary and stuck to my bowel. I was advised having a child would be very difficult and that a full hysterectomy

Asthma and altitude
I hope to be trekking in Nepal in a few weeks time. We will be heading up to nearly 5,000 metres. Has anyone found that their asthma has been affected by such altitudes ?

Children with asthma
My daughter was diagnosed with asthma and had her first symptoms age 3. She’s been in hospital multiple times with attacks but only ever been kept in once. She’s on regular medication, preventer and reliever when symptomatic. Any parents with children with asthma constantly anxious? I am so paranoid

Winter Triggers ❄️
Around 60% of people with asthma say that the cold weather triggers their symptoms. You can reduce the risk of cold air triggering an asthma attack when you are out and about by trying our Scarfie trick. Simply wrap a lightweight scarf loosely around your nose and mouth to warm the air you breathe in

Asthma or not?
Hi. I haven’t used a reliever or preventer asthma pump since august as I’ve been fine symptom free.. I went to the gym the other day and started feeling short of Breath easily and have done for a few days now.. I still haven’t used any inhaler as I’m not sure i have asthma due to my peak flow being 800

Let's talk about....phlegm!!
We might not like talking about, or looking at our phlegm but it can actually tell you a lot about what’s happening in your lungs. Coughing up more phlegm than usual can be a sign that your airways are inflamed, and the colour of your phlegm can also be a good indicator for what’s happening in your

Has this happened to anyone else
has this happened to anyone else. Last August out of the blue I was admitted through A&E with an acute asthma attack, I'm 57 years of age and have not really been bothered by asthma for 25 years and even when I was younger was never hospitalised. Since August I've been diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency
