I have been told that I have adenomyosis and endometriosis. I am having a really bad time at the moment. I have bowel issues and its causing me so much pain. Hoping to see specialist in the next few weeks. Hoping they will offer me surgery to tone down the pain that I am having. I have had a resection on bowel before without a stoma.
Questions??
Will I have to have a stoma this time?
What will they do?

Hi I’m about to have a full hysterectomy and also had a bowel resection in the past but no stoma. My consultants both gynae and colorectal have pre warned me that a stoma is a risk but it’s not guaranteed. Although I would be upset I would do anything to be pain free! When you get to see your specialist explain your concerns and I’m sure they will explain everything to you. It is still possible to have the hysterectomy keyhole even though we’ve had previous bowel surgery but my mri showed lots of scar tissue so it’s highly likely they will have to open me up again 🙈 it is what it is I guess!
If there’s anything else I can help u with give me a shout x
