Compression garment with a stoma?
I've developed Lymphedema after bladder and 28 lymphnodes removed recently. My certified lymphedema therapist had me get a capri type compression garment that goes from the waist to below the knees. I don't feel good about covering my stoma and pouch with the tight garment, fearing it could slow or stop

Anyone on Mepolizumab?
My
asthma
is very
brittle
and I have been unwell now for 14 years. During that time I've had nearly every possible drug to help but so far with no success. I'm really hoping this new treatment works for me this time as I feel at the end of my treatment options.

I was diagnosed in June 2017 with stage 3 PPC. I've had two surgeries plus chemo and have a stoma. Today for the first time since my diagnosis, I went swimming to our local pool. Managed 10 very slow lengths.......

Time for a much needed giggle..
Hi lovely people I thought I’d give you a bit of a giggle and tell you about my morning... I finally plucked up the courage to go to a shopping centre by myself.. I’ve been finding it tough after major surgery resulting in a stoma... I decided to wear one of my wigs for a change. Well as I left my house

Re-diagnosed with asthma, but feels different (or at least not familiar)
Hi all. I write to you because I’m frustrered and scared, so I hope you can provide some advice! I have experiencing SOB for a period of more than one year (varies in intensity), and feels like my lungs does not provide enough oxygen and it requires extra effort to breath. At the same time my acute medicine

CAN A VIRAL INFECTION START ASTHMA?
Is it Asthma i have? I started with a viral infrection 2 months ago it was then diagnosed as Bronchitis a few weeks later. My GP put me on antibiotics for 7 days which didn't help. I was then put on oral prednisolone for 2 doses which again did nothing. I then was sent to an asthma nurse last Friday

Asthma Cure not Profitable?
Is it 'more' profitable for a Pharma Company to provide 'Symptom Only' Treatments (that an Asthma Patient needs to take for the 'whole' of his / her life) 'OR' pour Research Cash into searching for an Asthma 'Cure' that might provide Revenue for 'just a year or two' i.e. until the Patient is 'Asthma

Asthma affecting studies
Has anyone else’s asthma affected their studies? I’m currently in my first year of my postgraduate studies as a student nurse. Since moving to London back in September I’ve had 6 hospital admissions for my asthma and other trips to A&E. They’ve since tried changing my medications and we’re working

Stabbing pain in upper back and asthma?
I’ve recently been diagnosed with asthma. I don’t often get breathless all that much however I do get a chest pain and asthma cough quite a bit. It gets worse in cold weather and exercise but the rest of the time I generally don’t have it. Today I was very tired and falling asleep at the drop of a hat

Will I improve?
In December I had an asthma attack that put me in hospital. On top of that I had flu, and secondary infections of the sinuses and chest. Although I am much better I find myself getting short of breath. Not all the time but when I do things like take clean washing upstairs etc. I never used to get short

Tried lots of different dose comibinations but recently settled on one that feels good (yet to test but will soon). Recently told I have asthma and given a ventolin
