Hormones
I’m in the middle of an asthma flare up and I’m trying to track down what’s set me off this time. Weather was an obvious one, and my house was bothered with damp (that was covered up a few months ago). So I was wondering, I’m sure I read somewhere that there’s a link in women between hormones and asthma

Mucus as bad as Diarrhea.
I had surgery for permanent colostomy / stoma and I get lots of mucus from my butt. It comes as quickly and unannounced as diarrhea did before. I'm cancer free and because of this, I don't have the severe diarrhea of the past under radiation. Tracking it without sampling, I probably get nearly 4-6 fluid

Hi everyone, I’ve had severe

since I was tiny, officially diagnosed at 18months old. I take or have tried every asthma medication available and have been on a maintenance dose of prednisilone for the last 15 years. I also started Xolair when it was first released.

How can I get my daughter to zip her jacket?
My daughter Bethany is 8yrs old and suffers from asthma but she is very energetic, she does outdoor activities too, even in the winter but because of her asthma, I like her to zip her jacket up in order to stay warm from the cold.

COPD or asthma?
Hello, I was diagnosed with asthma about 7 years ago after a severe bout of flu but just received a letter from the GP asking me to come in to have my COPD checked. I had some comprehensive hospital spiro tests when symptoms began and was assured it was asthma as the inhalers don't work on COPD. The

Severe asthma flare
Recently I had a relapse with my cold, bronchitis and asthma flare. What I don't understand is my stats were good at 99% but yet it hurt to breath and I was having breathlessness. I live in an assisted living and they wouldn't send me to the ER when I knew I needed help. So I had a friend drop me off

Doctors appointment
I went to the doctors again and she told me that it is most likely asthma as my symptoms are very similar, but I will only find out after my spirometry test in 2 weeks. She also had me do am ECG just in case it could be my heart, however it all came back clear and she re assured me that there is nothing

Spiolto Respimat
Hi, this is the first time posting. I have had asthma for twenty years and in the last couple of years it has got a lot worse. The respiratory nurse has been trying me with various things and has now prescribed Spiolto Respimat. I am quite concerned to read in the leaflet that it is used to treat

Symbicort
Hi all, had Asthma for about four years now. Was previously on the blue and brown inhalers but as of last November, was finding them less effective. My asthma nurse changed my over to Symbicort, which I find much easier to use and has greater effect. Anyone else had good/bad results from it?

Stoma babies
Hi Everyone, This is my first post. I wanted to ask if anyone has had a baby with a stoma/anorectal malformation? Our 4 month old baby boy is coming up to his second operation, having had the first at 1 day old, and I'd love to talk to other families who have been/are going through a similar journey
