High CRP And Infection Still In Lung, Going Ahead With Chemo Anyway...
Hi everyone. So I spoke, on Paul's behalf, to our oncologist this morning. The Xray that was done of his lung yesterday shows that there is still something on his left lung in the same spot at the base of the lung where it was before. When I asked the oncologist what he thought about that he said he

So breathing is.....good?
I woke up at defcon one today. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it is the worst because I haven't had time to acclimatize myself and I'm just - there. So today I went with 'frantic call to my psychiatrist' because I didn't feel like going to the ER. He asked several questions to make

Stress, stomach issues, brain fog
Hi everyone, Since I was a child, I have always been more sensitive than most people around my age when I face with stressful or difficult situations. These overwhelming situations seems to affect my stomach and clarity of my mind simultaneously. As a result I loose my appetite, suffer with a stomach

Reduce endless mucous related coughing
Respiratory Physio recently started me on breathing exercises and huffing to deal with constant mucous problem which makes me cough badly most of the day. Have only been doing it for 3 days ( 15 mins twice daily ) but so far it seems to increase the mucous/coughing all the rest of the time as well -

White Coat Syndrome
Hi all, Does anyone else have this? I discovered at a medical assessment over the weekend that I have a really bad case of it, my BP skyrocketed to 159/98 when the nurse took my blood pressure, and even after repeated attempts and deep breathing exercises the lowest I could get it was 140/92...the feeling

Fitbit nightmare
Hi everyone! I purchased a fitbit a while ago and is driving me bonkers! I am checking the pulse regularly, normal resting heart around 76 bpm, the moment I get up to do something it jumps to 110 bpm. When I am chewing food my heart beats at 106 pm, so weird the same as if I was walking. One time

I have spasticity... Yay!
I saw the neuro ms specialist PT yesterday. Discussed my progressively worsening long list of symptoms and she did an assessment and believes most of the symptoms are due to spasticity. Since I don't have related pain, I didn't realize this was what might be going on. Anyway, she feels I can significantly

Getting a handle on anxiety
But recently I have begun working on my inner self through meditation and contemplation,
breathing
exercises and just
exercise
- and watching what I put into my body. Things seem to be looking up but I'll keep you posted!

In Afib for 3 days
I was diagnosed with Afib 2 years ago, no other health problems. I have no symptoms with Afib and have 1 to two episodes a month which last 24 hours our less. I use Kardia to find out if I am in Afib. I feel fine, but I am concerned that the Afib is lasting so long this time. I am walking 2 miles per

Coughing Symptoms
I
exercise
regularly and have never experienced
breathing
problems. I know acid reflux causes coughing, especially at night. Concerned that acid reflux may be the cause of my coughing. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hello from a Runner with Asthma
Hello, I am John Terry McConnell, author of the book, "Running with Asthma: An Asthmatic Runner's Memoir." Asthma and exercise is what I know about and I am always looking for new ideas from others as well as the opportunity to share what I have learned. Deep breathing exercises changed my life and made

Shortness of breathe
Hi, I haven't had a cigarette for 9 months now. I quit smoking after 30 odd years with Champix. I'm 60. Almost immediately, I experienced really bad SOB. After seeing the doctor and having various tests was told this could be COPD. They put me on some puffers and then a morning only spray but the condition

Pulse racing
I have had 3 days of a 3 week program to address my depression. This weekend has been rough without that outlet. My pulse has been racing all weekend, and I cant seem to relax. Breathing exercises help, but only temporary. Anybody have anything that worked for them?
