Elemental diet anyone?
I was on azathioprine for couple of years (had a
bowel
obstruction
, plus horrid side effects), mesalazine didn't do anything. Steroids put me in remission after bad bouts, but we all know they're poison.

Bowl Cancer Diagnosis
Hi Everyone, I have just had my gastroscopy and colonoscopy today and been told I have bowel cancer. I am lost for words and don't know where to start. I will have CT and MRI scans in the next 2 weeks to determine progression and treatment options (if any) I have had abdominal pain and rectal bleeding

Copd
My husband was admitted to a hospital and after two weeks of the same test over and over was diagnosed with heart problem. Had open heart surgery and is home on oxygen. Now all of a sudden they told him he has copd. Never had breathing problems before this. Could copd come on suddenly

Hi, my mum, who is 84ys has bowel cancer, a small tumer 3.7cm in the lining of the bowel. Is BC related to bowel cancer?
Can I ask a question? Iam now diagnosed with early stage non invasive bladder cancer. However, in June I had a colonoscopy where they found and removed one large polyp they deemed precancerous. They only retrieved half of it, the other half went pinging round the colon. They repeated the colonoscopy

Hi all, I recently found out that I am BRCA2 positive. I was disappointed but not surprised when I consider my family history. I'm just wondering what course of action anyone on this forum took when they found out? I was really surprised when the geneticist told me that 60-70% of women have preventive

Anti depressants
Just got prescribed Cipralex for anxiety and occasional panic attacks. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with medication, if they helped in any way, or gave any notable side-effects.

Carcinogenic risk and Bisphenol A exposure: A focus on molecular aspects in endoderm derived glands
The other day I posted about bisphenol and till receipts. This paper suggests some extremly important possible effects of Bisphenol A. Doesn't seem like something I want floating around my pockets... As always, it is research paper - nothing is definite. https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/134778530

Fear England are too big and strong for our delicate Welshmen-but you never know. Anyway ----- A Yorkshireman with piles asks his local chemist, "Nah then lad, does tha

Yuck! Time for colonoscopy!!):
I've never had a colonoscopy but instead opted with my dr. to do a fecal occult test yearly. My last blood work found me to be anemic and when I did my last fecal exam they found trace of blood. I've never seen any blood in stool myself nor had any trouble at all with my bowels except for a recent hemorrhoid
