Atrial Fibrilation & Exercise
Hello! I just wanted to share my story here. I'm in my mid-40s and have had paroxysmal Atrial Fibrilation since early 30s. When I get AF, it never goes away on it's own. The only thing I know which gets it back to sinus rhythm is strenuous exercise. Either a run, jog, or brisk hillwalking- something

An update
Hi again Many of you will remember my post about 3 weeks ago when I was in fast AF and felt dreadful and I really appreciated all of your help and support. 3% Afib burden and proposed medication
UPDATE: I saw an EP today. He advised that, unless I had a pacemaker implanted, medicinal control of my afib was too dangerous because of my already low heart rate. He also went over results from the 30 day monitor and the only time my heart rate went up to 170 bpm was when I was exercising while

bisoprolol / Betablocker withdrawal stories
Hi, I decided to open this topic because I'm going through a difficult period of withdrawal. I spent 1 year on bisoprolol, which caused numerous side effects and, with the doctors' insistence, I dragged it out until I wanted to quit. Currently after 8 months withdrawal symptoms remain. During my first

hydration tablets for water
I’m off to Turin on Saturday. I’m concerned about the heat does anyone on here use hydration/electrolyte tablets added to water? As a drink over the day. I’m on bisoprolol, ramipramil; Eleperone; statin, riveroxaban, lanzoprozole, thyroxine. I know I need to stay hydrated just trying the best way to

PVC’s and Travel
I have been having PVC’s since chemo/covide vaccine (disagreement on what triggered them). They are almost permanent. Sometimes I get a couple of hours a day that I can’t feel them. My GP and Oncologist have been fab. But struggling to get cardiology to take me seriously. I’ve done a 24 hour halter

PACs are making it tough to sleep.
I am getting thousands of PACs at the moment, including one in every two beats (bigeminy). I know they are PACs because I have captured loads of events on my Kardia device. I have arranged an appointment with my cardiologist in 3 weeks to talk about medication changes. I cannot pinpoint a trigger, but

Medication
I have AF and a Pacemaker, and am taking 300mg Flecainide a day and 3.5 mg Bisoprolol twice daily, does anyone find these medications can cause stomach upsets. Thankyou.

Bisoprolol dosage with A Fib.
Bisoprolol. I have atrial fibrillation a lot of the time. Sometimes with my pulse in the 60s, sometimes 90s and sometimes 130s. My cardiologist has prescribed 5 mg Bisoprolol every morning and 2.5 mg every evening. I would prefer to vary these amounts and I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for me

Adrenal insufficiency & cardiac issues update
Busy times here. Last week met with the endo nurse to discuss slow steroid tapering and left with hydrocortisone injections, leaflets in case of an emergency. Very supportive. GP bumped me up the NHS cardiology list. Saw a consultant following a private echocardiogram/ heart monitor. She went through

magnesium
please could you advise me the magnesium supplement I should take that doesn’t give you upset tummy? I was recently with fast AF and was told my magnesium levels were a bit low. I have permanent AF and not had an episode for 2 years. My bisoprolol was increased to 7.5 from 5mg. I also have a pacemaker

Continuous Ectopic heartbeats
just to let those of you know that after 9 months of continuous flip flopping, fluttering, palpitations and skipped heartbeats I started a low dose of bisoprolol four months ago and my ectopics have all but stopped. I avoid all the trigger foods with only an occasional glass of beer and the side effects

Thank you all!
Firstly I would like to thank all of you who were so kind and answered my fears about my upcoming ablation. I'm so much happier about it now😊 Especially since I just came out of another tiring 28 hour episode! Sorry to ask yet another question but I was wondering if amiodarone was routinely prescribed

Can I justify Armour?
Without the GP's knowledge (and after advise on here) I came off Armour for a month in order to falsify my results so that the GP would stop getting so upset about my suppressed TSH in the hope that he would continue to treat me with a combination of T4 and Armour which I've been on for 20 years. Hair loss is Bisoprolol or Apixaban? the cause
Hi all, My hair has really started to fall out lately, I’m on 1.25 Bisoprolol and 5mg Apixaban x2. I’ve tried to do a bit of research but found it a bit contradictory, some saying it’s either one or the other some saying both tablets. My cardiologist has in the past offered me Nebivolol and I’m wondering
