anybody used buspirone with heart meds

hello me again , I’ve been prescribed buspirone for anxiety , but very anxious to use it has anyone used this before ? Also trying to figure out still what meds are making me feel so ill I’m on levothyroxine am bisoprolol flecinide am and pm , spoke to at nurse this morning said don’t take heart meds today see how I feel , I have reduced them as well but still feel no better realy , very anxious of not taking any , I got down to 1.25 my bisop and 1 flec 50 mg per day but still makes me ill , anybody been in this situation any advice please , going round in circles , and now into my 3rd week off work 😟

Hi,You do have a lot of bother with anxiety over your meds.

I think you would be best to go to a pharmacy and ask to see the pharmacist - not a counter assistant, the pharmacist on duty.

Take all your medication with you, not just the ones prescribed for you but also any supplements or other stuff you take.

Ask the pharmacist is it safe for you to take all these medications.

Can they write down what is the best time for you to take them, can they be taken together etc.

I think that would be a great help for you and put your mind at rest, and once you stop worrying about taking the medications hopefully you will feel better in yourself.

This is what I would do if I was worried about my medication. I hope I have been some help to you.

I have had three family members take it for anxiety and it was just meh. Isn’t it used for allergies traditionally? I did know one young lady who got on with it. However my family members take propranolol as needed for anxiety and it works so maybe a different beta blocker may help with your anxiety. I don’t have experience about using it with your other meds though.

Yes, I took Buspirone and it helped my anxiety. Got me over a bad hump. I only used this drug for two weeks as it increased my heart rate. I take Diltiazem, Propafenone, Eliquis, and Losartan.
