So I'm in a real situation. I was put on beta blockers by my GP last year for my panic attacks. They made me worse so I came off them and had rebound fast heart rates, got put on new beta blockers that make me not as breathless but also now been told 5 months later I no longer need to take them and can

Apixaban
Does anyone have nausea from Apixaban. I feel sick every morning and get woken up by a pain in the middle of my lower ribs. I went to the doctors today and was given anti sickness tablets. I also take Bisoprolol.

Persistent AF
Hi all,I have recently gone back In to AF and just seen my cardiologist after having an echo and 24 hour monitor. The echo has shown the hearts looks OK with a good EF and moderate dilation of left atrium, the monitor showed my HR anywhere between low 70's and mid 120's with an average of 94! The cardiologist

insomnia
Hi all. I’ve been diagnosed with AF and I’m now taking Apixaban, 5mg , Bisoprolol 1.25mg, and Furosemide 20mg. Since taking these pills I have suffered with insomnia, if I get more than three hours sleep a night I would be lucky. I’m due to see a cardiologist on 21st August. I am really struggling with

Question about support stockings
Hello. It's been a while with posting. I have been wearing support stockings since last November after arriving home from the hospital, for almost 10 months now, they have always been a struggle, and it's a bit tough to wear shorts with these knee-high's, I usually wear long pants outside to hide them

Shock Horror
I've just turned 62 and decided as a birthday treat I would have a blue crest health check. My Stats were mainly good with the exception of a red marker for afib. I wasn't even sure what this was exactly but now am finding out as a new patient. I'm on Bisoprolol and apixiban and have been waiting for

Heart rate increase
Over time, my NSR events have lessened and been replaced by SVEs most of the time - so my Kardia tells me. I have felt ok physically with this as when I told my GP, he said it only really mattered if the rate went up considerably, and as it is always below 70, ( usually around low 60s ) he was happy.

76 years old with A F
Hi all. I was diagnosed with AF on the 18 July as I had trouble breathing, so I went to see my GP. I’ve always led a active life so I was surprised to hear about AF. With in three days I had an ECG in the morning. That afternoon I was to see another GP. GP then made appointments for blood tests and echo

Update to double dose of Bisoprolol
Firstly, thank you to everyone who gave me their reassurance last evening. Over four hours passed without a call back from 111 and I had no noticeable effects from taking the extra tablet. I had seen the sense in the advice I got from the people in this forum, and was on my way to bed when the call

Bisoprolol not my favourite med as it makes me so tired but it does help to regulate heart rate.

Double dose of Bisoprolol
I take 3.75mg Bisoprolol each morning. At the moment I'm also taking an antibiotic which I take around 6pm. Today I have accidentally taken a Bisoprolol instead of the antibiotic, so I have had a double dose. I've called 111 and someone will call me back but I'm worrying whilst I wait.

Change from Paroxysmal to Persistent Arrythmia
I've had paroxysmal atrial fibrillation for about 10 years and it was reasonably under control with Ramipril for high bp and Bisoprolol betablocker. Then just before lockdown episodes started being more frequent. Had a phone conversation with a consultant who put me on Flecainide. This last week

Post AVR 3 & 1/2 weeks, Atrial Fibrillation
Surgery on 10th July, generally doing really well on the recovery however, what started as temporary blips of A-Fib has now settled in as constant A-Fib. I understand that I may need a Cardioversion. Last few days I have an erratic pulse rate too, Dr’s appointment on Monday apparently may increase Bisoprolol
