Hi, The doctor gave me the wrong dosage of my bisoprolol on Friday and haven't been able to take any for 3 days now. Is it usual to get chest pain after stopping taking it suddenly? I'm on hold to the docs to try and get the correct dosage but my chest/heart is in agony

hey there, I can’t say I’ve experienced chest pain after stopping taking it suddenly but definitely a good idea to make touch with the doctor. It’s frustrating that your doctor made that mistake but if it happens in future you could make the right dosage yourself by either taking multiple tablets (if the dosage was too small) or breaking the tablets (if the dosage was too big) or a combination of both! It’s not ideal but it would mean you’re not stopping your medication suddenly 😊
Hope you've been seen by now ...any chest pain should be taken seriously..go to A and E if your doctors are slow .
