Definite weight gain with increased Bisoprolol dosage
6 months ago I was only taking a very low, 1.25mg dose of Bisoprolol, this was increased by my cardiologist to 3.75 and recently by my GP to two 2.5mg daily (5mg). I have definitely put on weight and have had no luck in lowering it with diet. I feel extremely tired all the time, not helped by the need

Tens machine and AF
I have been AF free for nearly 2 yesrs but I’ve just had a 3 hour episode following using a tens machine on the back of my neck and shoulders for rebound headaches following using daily painkillers for a gum abscess are Tens machines a no no or is it just because I put the pads on the back of my neck

stopping bisoprolol
I have been on Bisoprolol, 1.25, for a couple of years but found it difficult to tolerate (nausea and fatigue). I have paroxysmal AF since July 2023 and a history of Tachycardia before that. On Flecainide 2x100, Apixaban, and since last week no longer on Bisoprolol but Veramapil, 2x40. After 3 uneventful

I am on Edoxaban, candersartan and Bisoprolol, I have had pelvic floor surgery and since have been in Afib, 9 days. Should I wait and see if it goes away like it always has?

Afib and Potassium Magnesium
Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with what was anticipated to be a one off Afib event in November 2020 ( in hospital for 3 days after emergency admission) Summer last year I had two further events and after an 11 month wait I elected to see a consultant privately. Echocardiogram, MRI and zio patch later

Ablate and pace
I started with left sided atrial flutter which responded well to cardioversion and kept me symptom free for nearly two years. I have stage one heart block so when I started to get occasional further episodes I had a pacemaker fitted so my dose of Bisoprolol could be increased from 1.25mg to 5mg daily

AFIB help
My husband who is only 40, has been in constant atrial fibrillation for almost 9 months. Which came as a surprise as he has always been a healthy fit person his whole life. He has had bloodwork and doesn't have any deficiencies. He had 2 cardioversions, both unsuccessful, only lasting a few days then

New Diagnosis - Very Confused
I had some health checks and an ECG showed LBBB I was sent for an echo in June just to double check things. This came back with left ventricular dysfunction and EF 35%. Ventricular ectopy was 7-8% couldn't believe it when I was told I have HF. Seemingly no symptoms I thought, however I did get palpations

First AF episode in 18 months
Hi all, so went into AF 12 hours ago with heart racing over 200bpm. Got it down under 100 with bisoprolol but my Flecainide that I take daily anyway hasn’t converted me. I’ve increased it to 150mg last night and done same this morning. First episode in 18 months but have had ectopics instead. Last few

AV Node ablation
I'm new to this forum so first of all, hello! I developed paroxysmal right sided atrial flutter in 2020, had a cardioversion in 2021 which worked well for two years. I have a stage one heart block but could only tolerate 1.25mg of bisoprolol without my HR dropping too low so I had a pacemaker fitted

On 45mg Prednisolone. Doc just told me to miss a day.
I'm so frightened. I have got totally confused. Confusion started when I got diagnosed with GCA and put on Prednisolone 50 mg, along with Apixaban, Lanzoprazole, coleocalciferol, something that's vit D complex plus calcium (forgotton the name), simavastin and Bisoprolol. Then I had afall, got taken

Hello first time on here and found it so useful reading all the posts, diagnosed with permanent afib 6 weeks ago and on 6.25mg bisoprolol which is not agreeing with me at all but will persevere for a while longer, my question is I have been told that a cardioversion would be advised but has anyone had

bisoprolol and mood
I’ve been taking bisoprolol now for nearly two years. In the past few months I’ve noticed I am getting mood swings- and particularly angry outbursts at friends /partner. these are getting more frequent and nastier. I have lashed out twice this week already and worry that my personality is changing.
