Does anyone have nausea from Apixaban. I feel sick every morning and get woken up by a pain in the middle of my lower ribs.

I went to the doctors today and was given anti sickness tablets.

I also take Bisoprolol.

I've not had this. The only problems I have had were with Bisoprolol and similar medications but that was with breathlessness and fatigue but apixaban has not been a problem for me.

I have a mild version of that - doctor has given me fomotadine because a PPI was a disaster - I will spare you the saga 😂

I have tried many different PPI’s and they don’t really help. I am sure I have low acid due to having hypothyroidism but doctors won’t listen. The PPI’s have caused polyps in my stomach. One of the side effects. Oh the joy 🥲

No, but had lots of problems with Bisoprolol. We all react very differently. When do you take your Apixaban - before, during or after food and do you take with a full glass of water?

I only take my mine after breakfast, doesn’t seem to matter in the evening but another drug I take does upset my stomach so I have to eat in order to take that one so leave the Apixaban until about an hour after breakfast before taking.

Same here Bisoprolol causes insomnia so I am waking at 3.30am and unable to get back to sleep and it sets my anxiety off.

I take my Apixaban twice a day after food with water. I don’t have too much in the evening otherwise I would be up all night going to the toilet.

It’s a nightmare I take thyroxine for hypothyroidism and Lansoprazole for a hiatus hernia.

In the beginning, I had a few side effects from my medications and I found my pharmacist was more knowledgable about these side effects and how and when to take my meds than my own GP. Pharmacists are trained to understand the interactions and could give you some clarity regarding your nausea.

I’ve been on apixaban for a few years and never really had much issue with it , bisoprolol did give me issues with breathing but I have asthma too ,
