Hi Lavendermay. Sorry to hear that you’re feeling unwell. This is just my personal experience but I have found that taking my Bisoprolol morning and evening seems to mitigate some of the tiredness. I have a very good consultant who listens to my concerns and he is happy for me to stay on a lower dose and have a quality of life. However, I had a bad experience with a heart failure nurse (what a horrible job title!!) who’s immediate reaction at our first meeting was to inform me that she intended to double my dose that day and again two weeks later. Even after I had explained my discussion with the consultant, she remained adamant. Luckily, I saw the consultant soon after and he told me to stick with what he had told me, so it may be worth asking why the need to change dose, depending on who made the change?

Having read the comments, I also think and worry about the bisoprolol being the culprit rather than the cure?

Bisoprolol causes so many problems for so many people. Tell your doctor and he will be able to substitute it with one of the many alternatives.

I don't understand the 500 bisoporol? My husband is on 2.5mg in a morning.

Hi do you mean 5 mg? I’m on 10mg.

I was on 2.5 Bisoprolol, but GP thought my pulse rate was still a bit high. so doubled mine to 5mg. I became v constipated, and she reduced it to 3.75. I am still constipated (which is a tendency I have.) so would prefer to go back to original level.

psyllium husk is our friend. helps keep me regular whilst on all these pills. 2 teaspoons of the powder in water each morning does the trick.

GP is suggesting Fybogel,,which I think is similar. I have been taking Laxido, which tends to make me go up and down. She thinks something less strong but more regular will be better.I am due for a gynae op next week and keen to be more settled beforehand.

it's good stuff - pure fibre. I take it in water with a spoonful of chia seeds too. if you can get it on prescription, fibogel is good. if you're paying, psyllium husks is cheaper

I’m very confused by what you mean with 500 Bisoprolol and 175 digoxin. If this is mg you’d be dead.

The typical dose of bisoprolol is 1.75mg - 10mg and digoxin is 0.125mg - 1.5 mg.

Not what you're looking for?
