Hello :-)

This med makes so many of us feel tired and a reason why we are not keen on it

But your question I do believe it does or helps to regulate your heart rate :-)

Hope it is working in regulating yours :-) x

My cardiac nurse recommended I took Bisoprolol at night as I found the same when I took it in the morning. It has made a huge difference.

I felt the same. I was put on 5mg whilst in hospital. At my first cardiac appointment with the nurse, my pulse rate was too low (that's why I was tired all the time). She reduced it to 1.25mg and told me to take it at night. It's been much better since - and also makes me sleep better. Good luck.

I've had to have my Bisoprolol reduced recently from 10mg to 5mg as was so tired and couldn't get any get up and go! I am going to take it at night fir a few days to see if that helps as still tired during the day and nothing gets done. My husband must think I'm lazy!

I had been on Bisoprolol 5mg for nearly 2 yrs with no problems apart from a little tiredness. More recently I had to have it reduced to 2.5mg as over the last couple of months my pulse had dropped to between 37 and 42 bpm when at rest. The Lower dose made little difference so cardiologist informed GP to take me off it completely. 4 weeks on and now around 58 to 64 bpm, dizzy spells and light headedness have pretty much gone now.

My cardiologist told me they have a number of drugs they can use if Bisoprolol isn't well tolerated. There are other Beta Blockers or Calcium Channel Blockers (usually Diltiazem) and others too. Speak to your medical team.
