Hi. I'm nearly 70. male. Previously well, 4 months ago I developed palpitations. Turned out to be atrial fibrillation. Bisoprolol stopped it. They took an armful of blood and amongst all the normals my TSH was unrecordable, T3 26 (3.3-6.1) T4 49 (11.5-22.4). With Carbimazole my T3 is now 5.1 and

Dronedarone
Anybody on dronedarone? I've been given 1.25 mg bisoprolol. I'm being monitored on a virtual ward and my heart rate has dropped to 50. Doctor says only medication left to try is dronedarone but I'm really nervous about it as amiodarone made me so ill.

After my heart attack in November 2021 I completely changed my diet and exercise regime. I now eat mostly fish and vegetables with a treat maybe once a month. I have absolutely no issues with my BP and do not take any medication for my BP but I do however take 1.25 bisoprolol 2 x per day. I do know that

Treating PVCS on a virtual ward
I have posted on here a number of times about the burden of persistent PVCs. Anyway, after 5 days of feeling very dizzy and nauseous, I went to see my GP. She sent me straight to my local hospital which is a big teaching hospital. I was seen in the Same Day Emergency Medicine unit who were thorough and

Bisoprolol dosage
After occasional palpitations in recent years and a 3 hour event last Autumn, I had checks on my heart that found no structural problems and only minor issues consistent with my age (70). I have been offered ablation and put on bisoprolol. I am in good general health and fit for my age (tennis, walking

Hi I’ve had AF for a number of years now but it seems to be controlled by bisoprolol apart from my Apple Watch telling me I’m in AF which I wouldn’t have realised. Anyway blood tests have shown I’m very low in B12 and vit d and anaemic and I’ve been feeling dizzy, tired and my ankles and feet swelling

Potential AF? Bisoprolol for management?
Hi everyone, I’m mainly looking for advice, tips, anyone who has experienced something similar and how they now go about managing it. I started having episodes of heart palpitations at the back end of 2020, where my heart rate would randomly spike to over 150bpm when resting, as it only happened a

bisoprolol side effects
I recently started taking bisoprolol taken about 11 over three weeks under doctors instructions I would like to ask if anyone had experienced and facial flushing with this tablet. It’s either that or I am coming down with a chest infection which I had beginning of year and that’s how I started along

Is persistent AF causing this breathlessness?
I’m in persistent AF. 80% of time it is flutter not fibrillation. HR usually 120 but rises to 140. I have been in persistent af like this for 4 months. Previously 17 years PAF. I also have bad food sensitivity problems , bloat badly after some foods and I am long term obese at 130 kg. About 5 weeks

hi My husband had a collapse back in may, and hit his head, when he was in hospital he had Af then just went back to normal rhythm, he was very confused and combative but when this resolved and he had his memory back he was discharged. A month later he collapsed again, but luckily only had a slight

Sinus rhythm with supraventricular ectopy.
Last December my Kardia mobile saw AFIB when I was sitting on a plane coming back from Egypt. It is not the first time, in fact there have been dozens of times when I have seen it. I went to the GP and he sent the kardia output to the cardiologist. Several cardiologists disagreed about the kardia
