missed doses of bisoprolol
Hi I’m hoping for a bit of reassurance I think. Stupidly I missed the bisoprolol out of my tablet box so haven’t had any since last Friday. I only realised today and took the normal dose. My concern is that I felt really rough from Monday, I thought I had flu, achy all over, especially shoulders,

Bisoprolol & Apixaban
Early sixties. Coming up to two years when I had peridarditis which developed into permanent afib until I had cardio version four months later. Been mostly clear since then but occasional bursts of arrythmia, typically early beats. Think I was stressed out but have also given up alcohol and now exercising

I had my second ablation in November 22 and think it went well. My post ablation monitor showed some AF so it was repeated in June 23. It was reported in October 23 but only today did i received a copy of the result sent to my GP. It shows short runs of atrial tachycardia and short runs of AF and I will

Exercise
I'm hoping someone can help me with the answer to this please. I have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and one of my main triggers is exercise. However, exercise is also recommended lose weight, get healthy and reduce episodes. How can I increase exercise if it's a trigger? I am even reading The AFib Cure

Hi I am just wondering if I can get some advice. I have had an ecg and 24 hour ecg, which I was told was normal. I went to my GP for fast heart rate that can be rapid at times. My blood pressure was kind of high so she had to take it twice. Then she checked my heart to which she said it was kinda fast

Diarrhoea when stopping verapamil/starting Bisoprolol
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had a very upset stomach/diarrhoea when stopping verapamil? Had been taking verapamil for 10yrs for Supra Ventilator Ectopics but they weren’t great for controlling them. Recently diagnosed with Paroxysmal AF so taking Flecanide as pill in pocket which works well.

Bisoprolol 1.25mg tablets
hi there, my doctor has put me on Bisoprolol 1.25mg tablets, because I have a fast heart and I get palpitations my doctor thinks it’s anxiety but has put me on this medication anyway. Even though it’s a low dose, I’m so scared. My heart is usually kind of fast, sometimes it’s 170bpm or 120bpm or in its

I'm on low dose, 1.25mg but they've really calmed down what were pretty uncomfortable symptoms (3 A&E visits in one weekend!) Anyhow, have a holter monitor booked for next week and not sure whether to stop the Bisoprolol or

Reducing cholesterol
I’ve been told that because of the stricter diagnostic parameters the NHS now uses for assessing cholesterol levels in the blood, I have very slightly raised cholesterol. I’ve been told I can have statins, which I agreed to take, with much regret, because they are powerful drugs and I’m already taking

Switching from Disopyramide to Bisoprolol - any advice?
Hi, I have been taking Disopyramide (Rhythmodan Retard 250mg) for AF, but have been unable to find any pharmacists with stock for a while now. So the Cardiac Nurse at my Doctor's Surgery has switched me to Bisoprolol. I am about to switch over from the last of my Disopyramide, and start with the Bisoprolol

Things to avoid on bisoprolol?
Wondering if there’s any foods you should avoid eating while taking bisoprolol ? I recall reading on google to avoid bananas and avocados. Is there any truth to this? Also should one avoid taking over the counter seasonal allergy medicine while taking bisoprolol ?
