Stabbing pain in ribs & negative ANA
I have not been diagnosed yet and have recently been given an urgent referral to The Royal Free. I have been having flare ups for the past 10 years but they are getting more frequent and worse. My GP has sent me to A&E 3 times. Does anyone get shooting stabbing pain in their ribs and sternum? It feels

Nubeqa failing onto C-94676 clinical trial
Trans differentiation into neuroendocrine type was suspected but Chromogranin A was normal and supraclavicular node
biopsy
on 11/9 revealed adenocarcinoma after several IHC markers for neuroendocrine were negative.

Figured out what back/side issues are BUT nothing works...
So right now I am treating a strange skin thing (waiting to see
biopsy
report...something about skin thickening....sounds gross) and waiting on lots of blood work so I can start Actemra. The doc thinks my RA might be involved. I am not so sure....but will do whatever.

Platelet Count Fluctuations with ET - what to expect, ways to lower them naturally?
Had a bone marrow
biopsy
this fall and the diagnosis. I'm on a wait and see approach, with taking a baby aspirin daily. Focusing on staying well hydrated, exercising, and healthy diet.

1st Bone Marrow Biopsy
I just had my first bone marrow
biopsy
yesterday. I have been dealing with MBL / CLL over the last decade and my count is around 50. I do not really have any symptoms except swollen lymph nodes in the neck and groin. I am 52 years old, quite fit (exercise hard 5 times a week) and work full time.

confused
Did psma and did not show anything although psa rose. Then 4 months later took body fdg pet/ct scan and showed lung rose 1.7 to 1.8 in 4 months and mild FDG uptake in other areas. Dr’s will meet tomorrow if big enough to take biopsies anywhere. They feel its from prostate and will see after taking

High risk treatment - go conventional or experimental?
I thought I'd come aboard and get some feedback. 58 yrs old great health except for Gleason 4+4 = 8, in 3/6
biopsy
cores (one side of prostate). Not sure why they only took 6 cores. PSA 24.1 back in November.

Low tumor mutation burden
City of Hope performed genome testing from my
biopsy
from almost 2 yrs ago. Showed Low tumor mutation burden. It says I am not a good candidate for immmune therapy, So I guess provenge would be ineffective. However, found online OS is higher with a low tumor mutation.

Low mosaic aneuploid embryos reclassified as euploid
This might be because the abnormality was only ever present in ‘placental cells’ (where the
biopsy
was taken from) and not in foetal cells, or it might be that the embryo is somehow able to ‘correct’ the abnormality as the embryo develops.

Lung Nodule Surgery instead of Biopsy
She was still concerned that it could still be malignant and asked whether I would be willing to have an operation to remove it rather than having a
biopsy
. I said that I would prefer to have it removed even if it turned out to be benign.

Update: Symptoms have subsided after all tests done. Could have been stress?
So the final part to my test was an endoscopy which i got at the end of May, they didn't find anything, took a sample of my stomach for
biopsy
and that came back with nothing at all. The doctor chalked up all of my symptoms due to stress.

Blood In Stool Relief
They took a
biopsy
to figure out what’s triggering it so they can decide how to treat it. It sucks but I was very relieved to find out what was wrong with me. I knew it wasn’t nothing, but I also knew not to wait. So if you’re reading this stop googling.

The result of
biopsy
will be known on Tuesday. So, most probably, this is stage iv metastatic disease. He had been healthy and active person and as you can imagine we were devastated to hear the news.
