folate dropping
I have been injecting since July 2023, thanks to you all, I knew to check my ferritin when I felt something else was off…since no doctor thought it necessary. It was 14. Now I am on iron supplements. My folate has always been >24. However, since starting the iron, my folate has dropped to 15 (still

After 25 days back on prednisone...
Thank you to all who advised on my previous post. I have almost completed the first month back on 20mg day of prednisone. The effect was immediate, pain gone, stiffness gone, fatigue better, am motivated and catching up with chores I had neglected for months. I feel more positive now, even started

Gallstones are actually a hernia/ulcers
Hi everyone, hope you are all as well as you can be. I had my endoscopy this week to see if they could find the suspected gallstones. Instead they found a large hiatus hernia, plus multiple stomach ulcers. This explains why I have been in so much pain, in a constant state of nausea, and off work for

Endometrial build up on right uterine wall
I had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy two weeks ago and currently waiting for results of biopsies . I just got a letter about what he found during surgery and he said there was an endometrial build up on right uterine wall. Does anyone know what this means ? He didn't mention this to me in person. When

Finally , tests done and a consult.
It has taken a ton of calls and emails, but Johns Hopkins does have my
biopsy
samples. One thing that he couldn't answer-He stated that I had a high number of positive cores. I had 5 of 15 cores positive. But it was a fusion
biopsy
, and 4 were taken directly from an 10mm lesion.

Barrier for RA and other questions
After surviving a sepsis I received from the directed
biopsy
(trans rectal) my nether regions are speaking their own language again. My doc proscribed flomax, which seems to help a lot, but also finesteride. I've been reading about that and it seems like it has some severe side effects.

Psma-pet scan results
PCa Warriors: I am on Active Surveillance(AS )with one core GL6 at 10%. I am part of a clinical trial that uses PSMA-pet scan to track progression. I guess the goal is to catch progression early and maybe avoid biopsies. The results are given below. Two things grabbed my attention from the report.

For prostate cancer, a
biopsy
showing a grade of Gleason 6 (also known as Grade Group 1) is considered low or very low risk. In breast cancer, diagnosis of ductal carcinoma in situ, or DCIS, is similarly low or very low risk, representing the very earliest, noninvasive stage of the disease.

Calprotectin 452, Colonscopy and missing symptoms
I also have an enlarged liver which is currently being investigated and some of the findings during a recent
biopsy
means that my hepatologist wants to do a colonscopy anyway given said findings, the high Calprotectin and my symptoms as this liver issue found is most often caused by inflammation disorders

Do you try to keep your diagnosis private?
My wife has been a wonderful companion through my diagnosis and recent hospitalization from sepsis due to my 2nd
biopsy
. She almost lost me but I have returned to vigor and preparing for this journey through radiation and ADT next month.

Discoid Lupus itchy scalp more bald patches what to do to ease it?
After a
biopsy
in 2021 which confirmed lupus (scalp) I was prescribed Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine sulfate). Having a long history of being prescribed very strong drugs here in France and becoming unwell from them I didn't take the treatment and finally got to see my normal dermatologist.
